For what it’s worth.... The Indonesian government adjusted the spelling of the Bahasa Indonesian language to remove the “Dutch” influence.
The sound in English rendered “ooh” used to be spelled in Indonesian as in Dutch, “oe”.
It was adjusted to simple “u”.
Ergo, “Soetoro” is the old spelling. “Sutoro” is the new. That makes Barack Huseyn Sutoro have exactly 6, 6, and 6 letters, if that mattered to anyone.
How could she owe taxes? She lived in Indonisia except for a time in 1992 when she earned a degree in anthropology in Hawaii.
the lien / notice of judgement was filed with the Bureau of Conveyance to prevent Obama’s mother from selling any real estate that she MIGHT have owned in HI — it is really just a notice that Fed’s wanted $$ from her not necessarily a claim against any specific asset — the IRS may or may not have found property in her nam OR they may have tried to attach her wages. Unclear how the matter was resolved (or IF it was resolved)
