She says
Yo I’m Palin! I’m out!
Tx. That segment was the funniest skit of the whole show. “She likes red meat!” LOLOL : )
That was pretty funny!
I watched that horrible show last night through three terrible McGroober episodes and, only to hear the beginning of Weekend Update as I drifted off (my brain could take no more). Now I wish I had managed to stay awake a few more minutes.
Drill baby drilla!
When I say Obama, you say Ayers. Obama-Ayers, Obama-Ayers.
Hehe.
I loved it. It was funny and Sarah was having a great time. Face time without a Couric or a Gibson in front of it is priceless.
Every party needs a pooper ...
Palin was fine and it was all in fun.
I don’t know if it’s already been posted but NBC put up some video of Governor Palin backstage at SNL: http://www.mofopolitics.com/2008/10/18/video-sarah-palin-on-snl-101808/
My wife and I are both 33, both staunch conservatives, and we still make an effort to watch SNL as much as possible. There are certainly some unfunny bits, and the bulk of the actors are ultra-liberal, but there are still laughs to be had. The Palin rap was hilarious, and there are several other recent sketches that stand out: "Iran So Far" and "Lazy Sunday" to name a couple. And incidentally, for whatever reason, the "MacGruber" bits (a recurring sketch) always have me laughing out loud (especially the song lyrics in each opening). To each his own, I suppose... :-)
And,
When I say Obama yall say Ayres.
"Obama, Ayers, Obama, Ayers."
LOLOL!
It was brilliant!
Good for Sarah, and McCain!
Lazy Sunday was the best SNL had in the past 10 years.
I prefer the parady:

My hubby and I enjoyed the Rap too. I was also thankful that here in Oregon, SNL does not come on until 11:30 pm. I read through the thread here on FR from when the program had run on the east coast, so by the time it came on here, we knew what to expect. We recorded it on our DVR, and then watched it later, and were able to skip through the parts we didn’t find funny, which I admit was just about everything that didn’t include Governor Palin. I was nice not having to watch the whole show. I told my hubby to record it every week, because neither one of us can sit through the whole show any more.
Funny rap song!
And a good decision by Palin to appear on SNL.
Bush thought the pop culture to be beneath his Office, and he lost touch w/America in the process.
And I’m an anti-TV snob saying this... but you have to meet the people where they are.
I’d love to find a transcript of the rap lyrics.
What a dreary, washed-out dishrag! I didn't even watch the whole first episode. I know the character is supposed to be a shlump, but it sure looks like it comes easy...Tina Fey does a spot-on caricature of Palin, but seeing them together briefly on SNL made me conscious of how vibrant the real Sarah is standing next to her scrawny mimic.
