ABC News' Matthew Jaffe Reports: As Election Day looms just over two weeks away, Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., said Saturday that with Republicans firing "vicious" and "dangerous" attacks at Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., voters are "having a difficult time" opting for the man who would become the nation's first African American president.
"Undecided people are having a difficult time just culturally making the change, making the move for the first African American president in the history of the United States of America," the Democratic vice-presidential nominee said at a San Francisco fundraiser Saturday evening. "So we need to respond. We need to respond at the moment, immediately, not wait, not hang around, not assume any of this won't stick."
"You see these vicious attacks on Barack's character," Biden told supporters. "I mean, this is dangerous stuff these guys are doing. This stuff is on the edge. It's on the edge. You know, there's some folks out there in the community nationwide that aren't as stable as others. It's a very small minority. But having these rallies where people are showing up saying, you know, the things they're saying - I don't even want to repeat them -- it's not a healthy thing."

I am so sick of this. The first time that someone called me a racist ever in my 47 years was in phone banking the other day. I was so stung that I had to take a five minute break and get a little support from my fellow volunteers before getting back on the phones. The next time it happens, it will fly right past past me without hitting the target.
I grew up in a small Va town with exactly two black students in my high school. I never had the opportunity to really know anyone of color until I moved to Wash DC in my early 20’s. I fell azz backward into a career in the collection industry and had the opportunity to hire, train, work with people of all cultures, colors and backgrounds.
Every single person who came my way in that field knew that I would judge them on their production, work ethic, and their ability of avoid getting the company sued due to their actions. We worked together, came to each others homes for important events, played on sports teams together, well you get the idea.
Now I feel like it all gone, any progress we might have made toward “judging a man based on the content of his character” is out the window. Well so be it. Biden nor anyone else will guilt me into voting for this dangerous man so as not to appear racist. Lets fight it out to the finish folks...this is not going to get any more civil at the finish line.
Actually Joe, Americans are having second thoughts about electing the first COMMUNIST American President.....

Well of course he’s going to stoke the racial tensions in the USA. They’re trying to browbeat americans into not letting the fact that he’s black get in their way of voting him into office. Too bad it’s his marxists, socialistic, communistic, black radical leanings that get in my way of voting for him.

‘learncamp’ is appropriate - must distinguish between learncamp and joycamp (slave labor facility). Of course, in being told to bring a ‘dirttool’, there is an implication of a contribution to the common good.

Good reply, of course I was referring to that looong paragraph about dissent in 1984 that translated to one word: crimethink.
The know they are in trouble because the weighting of the polls is bogus unless it has somehow been righted in the last 2 days I have not been paying attention. The inside people in these campaigns have totally different poll numbers than the American people do otherwise, he would not be saying this. Just fix the weighting to numbers that were the dems best turn out percentage year and the dems are still in trouble.
I hate communists, okay? Barack’s heroes are mostly dead white guys to begin with. Lenin, Stalin, Marx, Engels, Mao and sometimes Chez.
I met Joe Biden when I was a rookie reporter at a radio station in Dover in the early 80s. For some reason he gave me the creeps then and 25+ years later I still have the same reaction any time I encounter him, which thankfully has been cut to nil since I moved to Virginia.
But this crap goes beyond just a personal reaction. I’m starting to wonder if there is actually truth to the headline I saw earlier about Obama using “hypnosis” on people. I can’t believe that Biden is that desperate that he would demean himself in this manner.
I may never have liked the man, but I always thought he, at least, thought better of himself.

Americans also don’t want the first Marxist President that his mentor in High School was a Communist and one that hangs out with domestic terrorists and Black Liberation members plus has close ties to the LUO thugs who caused the riots in Kenya that killed so many in order to gain power sharing.
You know, that is the one thing that worries me about election night. The press has no shame so far in all the things that they’ve done, so why wouldn’t they go ahead and call the election before it’s over? Before all the polls have closed in Florida? uh-huh, I bet they do it.
I love how Obama has always been characterized as African American. The truth is, he is one half African American and one half caucasian. Being raised mostly by his white mother and grandparents, culturally he’s been raised “white.”
I love watching how he uses the race card.
