Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware said Friday that Nevadans shouldnt listen to claims he and Barack Obama would take away the right to bear arms.
I get a kick out of, sometimes, the NRA saying were going to take your shotguns away, he said in a telephone interview with the Nevada Appeal. Ive got three shotguns, although my son thinks one of them, the over-under, is his.
Both of us believe strongly in the Second Amendment, Biden said. We do not believe in registration. We do believe in limits on some of the weapons. You cant have your own flame-thrower or bazooka. And legislation in relation to assault weapons doesnt affect hunters or sportsmen.
We are two Democrats who voted against gun control, he said.
But, Biden said, there is room for common-sense laws relating to such things as carrying concealed weapons.

The 1994 ban had the effect of driving up existing magazine prices to hundreds of dollars. Magazines don’t last forever, they are one of the frequent wear items of firearms. The military considers them disposable.
So yes the 1994 ban did defacto ban all magazines over ten rounds.
And Obama and Biden are the biggest gun banners ever. And why do you think the biggest socialist ever would need to ban guns? Not enough free pie to go around maybe. Tyranny starts this way ... Ask Saul Alinsky how.
Since you don't seem to have a problem with shotguns Joe, can I have one of these?
They won’t make that same mistake again ... AWB-2 will be far more expansive , restrictive , and permanent ....
They can’t wait to take our guns. I not going to be too happy if Obama wins.
Right, and he’s not Botoxed up, either.
H.R. 1022 ,introduced by McCarthy in Feb.2007, “fixes” all the issues in the 94 AWB.

Sorry, happy fingers......
The second amendment says nothing about hunting.
"Assault weapon" is 'rat code for anything other than a bolt-action rifle.
One item that really cost extra then was the 100 round Beta C Magazine for the AR-15.
I remember them selling for $600! Now they sell for their true market price, more like $250.
I have my guns, but I'll tell you this: I know a hell of a lot of people who have been buying guns and ammo over the last two - three weeks, and that buying spree — many by first- or second-time buyers — is accelerating. The clear sentiment I'm hearing is one of defiance and preparation for what is rightly perceived to be the rise of fascism in America under an Obama administration.
I am not a real big fan of the spray and hope crowd ... I prefer more of the aim, fire and duck myself.
The big deal for me was easy carry spare pistol ammo ...
Another bad effect of banning new magazines was it stopped development of new guns.
As someone who no longer has one of his shotguns as a result of the Clinton era executive orders, I assert that you are giving them too much credit even on that point. They will attempt to ban all semi-automatics, and that includes a lot shotguns that were designed over 100 years ago (browning A-5, Remington model 12, etc. The most common "non-elite" hunting firearms, such as Remington 11/87s and Saiga-12s, will be among the first to be outlawed.
McCain is a poor candidate when it comes to firearms rights, but Obama is simply unacceptable. He is a tyrant, and his election will spell doom for freedom.
What the hell is with the shotguns? Always with the shotguns. It’s so consistent, I think it’s intentional.
Oregon has long had stricter magazine restrictions for hunting...5 rounds for semis, 3 rounds for hunting birds with shotguns. There's an exception for squirrel hunting, to accomodate all of those 10-22's and Marlin 60's, though: no magazine restrictions. The AK with a 40 round mag is fun for catching up with those high speed runs through the treetops. Just kidding...but not by much.
Those Saiga's are about as non-elite as it gets. Paid $200 for mine...they're ergonomically clumsy, ugly as sin, and more than once I wondered why I bought it. Shoulda bought five.
“Banning guns is an idea whose time has come.” U.S. Sen. Joseph Biden, in an interview with the Associated Press on November 18, 1993
Biden says he would not restrict gun ownership (New AWB wont affect hunters or sportsmen.)

Rats always lie. Give a hint about what he's saying.
