Three points:
1. It was predictable
2. He has shown himself to be gutless when it comes to politics
3. Who gives a rat’s behind what he thinks anyway
I don't know why anyone would be surprised that he will vote racist.
I think you are right. There is a difference between Powell and Clark. Clark aspired to political office. Powell declined every opportunity to run for political office. At any rate, the only place you will see the Powell endorsement talked up as important will be MSNBC/NBC. He made it on their network and they are in the tank for Obama anyway. Watch Morning Joe, tomorrow if you want to puke.
Wesley Powell.
I like it.
That’s it...Obama has the Black vote locked up. <>
On 2, clearly the latter.
How do I know?
Because the MSM makes NOTHING of former Dem-VP candidate, Clinton-butt-saver Lieberman’s endorsement...
...but it’s going to make a HUGE DEAL of this.
So, Colin, what you think of the Jimmy Carter presidency since you served in the military during his term in office?
Remember; if now for Powell, we would not have had to go into Iraq a second time. Schwartznegger wanted to finishe the job the first time and Powell as Chairman of the Joint Cheif of Staff convinced GHWB to call off the dogs.
Don't know.
2. Who has more stature - a sitting US Senator (J. Lieberman) or a retired AA general/SOS suporting the candidate of the opposing party for president?
According to MSM, anyone that supports BO.
3. Is there any differnce between Colin Powell and Wesley Clark?
Hard for me to say that Clark actually is less of a weasel than anyone, but at least he never pretended to be a Republican.
Yes that's him.
So how does this policy square with That Ones ‘Iraq was a bad idea from the beginning and should never have been undertaken”.
The next time I hear someone say they are voting for Obama because of agreement on policy, my TV is at serious risk.
It's all about race, and it's nice to see the racists step forward and acknowledge that fact. What else can it be when 95% of the blacks vote for the black candidate.
Powell lost me after he didn’t say anything about the Armitage-Plame-CIA-”leak” thing.
He’s a Jerk
Just watched the Powell interview on MTP. His reasoning sounds plausible, but it is the things he doesn’t say that say the most.
He completely falls for the line that Obama and Ayers only had limited connections.
Goes against his own statements about troop withdrawals on arbitrary deadlines, instead saying that the current situation makes that moot. Well, it wasn’t any action of Obama, particularly with regard to the surge, that got us here.
He keeps hemming and hawing. Pretty unconvincingly to me.
I think he has gone for a positive image in black posterity rather than a good choice.
Is there a difference between Bill Ayers and Raila Odinga?
He weighed which administration would be more adventageous for himself alone, its the selfish endorsement I expected.
Powell is a RINO.
Rice did the same, didn’t she also endorse Obama?
If Barack Obama were a white US Senator in the midst of his first term, with no significant legislation behind him, and his opposition to the surge, would Powell be endorsing him?
