A sea of red erupted for Sarah Palin on Friday afternoon, as more than 25,000 Hoosiers welcomed her to Noblesville like out-of-state family.

“Sarah Palin could easily hail from Indiana,” Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman told the standing crowd at the Verizon Wireless Music Center outside Indianapolis, about 5:30 p.m. “… any one of its small towns.”

Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee and governor of Alaska, took center stage amidst an overflowing crowd where VIP tickets merely assured entrance after hours in line.

Thousands of supporters, many wearing red shirts or waving red pom poms, were herded through the walkways and grassy areas of the open air pavilion by Secret Service and safety officials noting fire regulations.

“This is more people than I’ve ever seen here for any concert,” said Wabash Valley Journal of Business publisher Bob Flott,

I remember 2000 and CNN predicting Florida a winner for Al Gore.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Predicting? Didn’t Dan Rather at SeeBS call Florida for Gore while the polls were still open in the Panhandle? The most blatant case of trying to influence the election that I can recall. Rather still hasn’t been properly punished, he should be forced to listen to every speech Gore has ever made and every one he will make in the future. That might actually qualify as,”cruel and unusual”.

Peggy Noonan should know that Sarah Palin is the only conservative in this race.

The media will be predicting an Obama win, right up until the time Sarah Palin is sworn in as VP. :-)

I should of added and even after they will be suggesting that Obama will be running a "shadow Presidency" like Al Gore.

There seems to be a huge disconnect between national news election coverage
and what I’ve seen as local opinion. Maybe it’s just the big cities that support
Obama and that’s what media believes constitutes national attitudes. And I
have this sneaking suspicion that socialist entities have targeted and orchestrated
this disinformation effort. Never thought I’d spout conspiracy BS but between
ACORN and the democrap party, I’m starting to believe it possible. Buttnuts like
H. Dean, Emmanual, Pelosi, and reid are not to be trusted. I think they see
themselves as the next politburo.

Yes everyone stood for the entire speech. Except several that could not do it physically.
It was an awesome event. A sea of red to remind the demoncrats that they don't own INDIANA!!!

Peggy Noonan said that Sarah is a flop. And Noonan’s a conservative, so she must be right. I mean, after all, her latest book “Patriotic Grace” instructs conservatives to accept leftism ‘gracefully’ when the country moves in that direction.

I was there and about 2/3 were standing all through it, in the grassy area. They have some seats in the pavilion, for about 1/3 of the crowd and had some on stage.

Some were sitting while we were waiting for her. They put in an extra stop for her in Muncie and she was an hour late getting to Noblesville. That was announced on the radio. They opened up the gates at one instead of three to get everyone through security. But you are right, just about everyone was standing while she was there. We were there, in line, and waiting inside for four hours before she got there. I live near Verizon and I have never seen such a crowd there for a concert. The parking lot was absolutely overflowing.

Lt. Gov. Skillman gave a fired up speech, and introduced Sarah.

I took pictures, mostly of the crowds and the lines. Wasn’t close enough to get good pictures of the stage. I am not good at posting pictures, and I’m not sure how they turned out. It was a sea of red and everyone was fired up.

But, but, but the media elites say that her rose has faded. I know since I heard Gloria Borger tell Campbell Brown that myself....

I don't remember crowds like these for Bob Dole. I remember watching one of his campaign speeches and how small the crowd was compared to Clinton's.

The unintended(or maybe not) consequence of a media disinformation campaign that seeks to demoralize McCain voters into not voting would be to enrage the Obama Zombies when McCain wins. Obviously, if the Obamessiah lost then the election must have been stolen from him and they have the right and even the duty to riot.

what is even more impressing and amazing is the “length of time” her supporters are willing to committ (waiting in line for HOURS, standing, etc.) to attend her event.
