Steve Corbett, a radio talk show host in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, received a copy of an internal email sent by Grant Olan who heads the Wilkes-Barre headquarters of the Obama campaign. The email went to 627 Obama campaign volunteers in the Wilkes-Barre Scranton region, saying that Obama Headquarters reported an internal poll which shows that Obama is only 2 points up in Pennsylvania.
Sean Smith, who is heading Obama's Pennsylvania campaign, was interviewed by Steve Corbett via phone at 5:35 today to discuss this. He said that Grant "went rogue", and aknowledged that Grant was "reprimanded" for this. Sean would not deny that the internal poll showed this, and his words were carefully chosen.
McCain is way ahead of you regarding PA.
I can’t speak to Eddie’s actual commitment, but he was recently talking a good game re: the Obamessiah.
I bet he’s down by 2. I think Obama is losing in Pennsylvania.
What McCain/Palin need to do is concentrate on western PA (Erie down to the WVA line). Pittsburgh is still heavily union, and I keep posting here no way is average steel worker, iron worker, United Mine Worker, Teamster, etc., going to vote for 0bama...not gonna happen. Philly is a lost cause...the ‘T’ needs nominal campaigning (but shouldn’t be forgotten...Lancaster in particular...the Amish vote!!!) but the Pittsburgh market pulls in northern WV and the OH order (Youngstown). Too important not to visit...and could pull the state Red. WV will go Red...and the Pittsburgh campaigning could bring in the eastern portion of OH as well.
Do the Amish vote in PA? They do not vote in WI. Last time, we did see a Bush sign in an Amish cornfield, but that was a very daring act of independence against the local elders.
Sifting through all the biased Gallup and cbsnyt garbage...this is probably the single most accurate piece of polling we’ve received in weeks. This is why they’re still contesting it heavily
+2 is a dead heat. PA is in serious danger for the Obamabots.
a good debate tomorrow and the state could swing to mccain overnight.

Yes...the Amish do vote in PA. Infact, at one of the first McCain/Palin rallies (in the eastern part of the state, near Lancaster) there were photos posted here (FR) of many Amish men in the audience. Needless to add, the Amish are conservatives :)
Post 116 on this thread says 4500. Biden/Hillary/Bill/etc had 3000 2 days prior in the same venue (on a non-work day).
One thing they are trying to do with these skewed MSM polls is to drive the early voting toward Obama. People who are on the fence tend to want to vote for the winner. People who think their guy is going to lose are not as motivated. In a really close race these tactics can make a difference.
McCain may not have the sharpest campaign ever, but they would not be in Pennsylvania today with BOTH McCain AND Palin if they were not seeing an opportunity here.

Yea its amazing, it takes a fauxbama backer leaking an internal poll for certain people to remotely believe what I’ve (and others actually on the ground here in PA) have been telling everyone for a while now.
Fauxbama will lose PA folks, he’s got trouble here, and across the rust belt. THe idea he’s up by 10 or 15 here is ludicrous! Kerry with a solid democratic support and the state machine firing completely for him, eeked out 2.5% of the vote or 140k votes here... Gore got it by about 3.5% or 205k votes. The very idea that Fauxbama has any chance of winning this state at all, let alone by 10+ points is ludicrous on its face.
Don’t believe the Horse Crap the national polls and MSM are feeding you.. Fauxbama’s on the defensive guys, not the offensive. He doesn’t have any chance of winning if he loses PA.. .NOne, he has to pick up 19 EC votes of Kerry, and Kerry held PA, if Fauxbama loses PA, he’s got to make up 40 EC votes more than Kerry, and they just aren’t here folks.
Fauxbama is not going to turn FL, OH, VA, MO or NC.. that’s not going to happen folks.
Fauxbama is done, and was done from the minute he was chosen to be the nominee. He’s going to lose, and he’s going to lose by more than a few points. He’s going to lose PA, and at least 1 if not 2 of the other rust belt states that went Kerry in 04 and Gore in 00.
Look guys, the only way Fauxbama wins is if the republican base in large numbers gets dejected and doesn’t show up to vote on election day... that’s it.. that’s the only calculus that gives him a victory. Stop with the doom and gloom folks, stop letting them sell you a false bill of good. Be excited, we are winning this thing, and winning it handily. We are winning folks, that’s the reality.
The national polling outfits are not picking up what’s going on on the ground at ALL... they are completely worthless. PA by 10 or 15? Please.. WI by 10? Be serious.. MI by 15?? Not a chance.
Stay focused and stay positive... the MSM’s been lying about us and to us for years.. why are you suddenly buying what they are selling? I can only assume its because you are falling for the “hearing it often enough” that you are believing it to be truth.. Its not folks! Not hardly!

Thats just not true! J F***ing LURCH only won in PA by 100,000 Votes, and Mayor Screech and Fast Eddie Rendell gave Lurch a 400,000 ILLEGAL VOTE Victory Lead in PHILLY that Screech and Prissy Chrissy Nathews joked about the millions they would spend to bring the Dead to Vote!
There is still Great Hope for PENNSY! but just dont hold your breath:-)
