Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin will speak on Friday at Verizon Wireless Music Center in Noblesville, campaign officials announced Monday night. Doors will open at 3 p.m., with the Alaskan governor expected to speak at 4:30 p.m. at the 24,000-seat venue, said Marc Lotter, spokesman for Republican presidential nominee John McCain's Indiana campaign. Tickets to the speech will be distributed at McCain campaign offices on a first-come-first-served basis, Lotter said.

...and then there is this:
Damn!
I’ve been waiting for weeks and I love a few mile away, but I’m in Texas on business till next week.
Maybe the wife can take the girls.
PING
Chart - very nicely done.
It was forwarded to me...unknown author. But the data checks on the links and it is about as concise as I have seen.
Jeff,
I was reading over your comparison chart, before sending it to my list, sheepish look, when I noticed something I was having trouble wrapping my brain around : \
“Voted against making English the official language
No - McCain
Yes - Obama
Might there be a clearer way of stating that, that would still be accurate? Maybe, “Voted for making English the official language - McCain Yes Obama No”. Or would that change the language of the original bill?
Good old Washington, working to confusticate us all ; p

Wow...this KILLS me! I live in Northwest Indiana and have work until 3pm on Friday...and it is a 2 1/2 hour drive to Noblesville as it is (not to mention they are an hour ahead of me!!!). I cannot believe Sarah is speaking so close to where I live only for me not to be able to attend!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-(
Take half a day off! bring the whole family, plus some friends.
This is disappointing. I hate going to Deer Creek (Verizon). And I don’t think 24K seats is enough. I was hoping they’d have it downtown. Easier to draw people from around the city. I hear the New Lucas Oil Stadium (Colts) is nice and could accommodate 50K no problem.
Would love to bring the family if a good deal of them weren’t hopeless libbies...:-(
I just called the Marion County Republican Headquarters. Tickets can be picked up after 3pm today (Tuesday).
Hamilton County Headquarters will have tickets available for pick-up tomorrow (Wednesday) at 9am.
I have to be in Indy tomorrow afternoon, so I hope some tickets are still available, and yet, I sort-of hope they have all been snatched up, meaning more people want to see our Sarah.
Is it really true that Obama is now consistently drawing crowds of under 5,000?
I know that he was drawing huge crowds during the primaries when he was still new to the political scene. You could make the argument that the people who attended those huge Obama rallies six to eight months ago have already made up their mind to vote for him, while Palin is new to the political scene and conservatives want to see her in person.
Still, as we get so close to the election, you’d expect Obama supporters to be showing up in droves, even if they’ve already seen him before, especially if they’re convinced he’s going to win. Wouldn’t his supporters want to drive home the message that an Obama win is inevitable by bringing in even bigger crowds than he had before?
If what I asked in my first sentence is true, then something’s not right here. Does anyone have any solid data about the turnout at Obama rallies over the past month?
