Considering her hockey ties to Michigan, Sarah should have dropped the puck at the Red Wings home opener. She would have received resounding cheers.
Philadelphia fans would boo Christ Himself.
you know, I really wonder whether part of the story is that there were unsold seats unions went in and bought up when they heard she was coming This isn’t about hockey fans , though, it’s about BO supporters.
What you saw when Gov. Palin walked onto the ice was a Christian woman putting her Faith into practice. She was doing good to those who hate her. I think her actions spoke volumes to those who were REALLY watching.
The media is now downplaying leftist hatred to raise the specter of out of control conservatives John Lewis, Kerry, Obama himself to Mccain: thanks for toning down the rhetoric.

The water would come from the Schuylkill, and I shudder to think of what would come pouring out once the treatment was administered. Probably Philly sports fans.
problem is, not many are. On the other hand, many in Rome were won over to Christ by those who bravely faced death in the arena. ( about 6 orders of magnitude overblown on that comparison)
From what I’ve seen and heard, there was a mixture of boos and cheers. But,as a life long Philadelphian, I choose to watch sports at home. Many in the crowds are drunk and obnoxious, and aren’t the kind of people I want to spend any time with.
If they could boo that sweet little angel, then they are are not only drunk and stupid, but heartless as well. I mean, I can’t stand Obama, but I think his daughters are precious, and would politely applaud if he showed up anywhere with them if I were present.
“Blessed are ye when they shall revile you, and persecute you, and speak all that is evil against you, untruly, for my sake: Be glad and rejoice, for your reward is very great in heaven. For so they persecuted the prophets that were before you”-
Matthew 5; 11-12
I’m a troll because I don’t want to waste time, or lose credibility for the McCain/Palin ticket, over unsubstantiated charges?
Philly fans love a player who will bust a gut to win. Mike Schmidt never appeared to put out the effort as evidenced by his cool demeanor. When Pete Rose came over from the Reds it was a welcome relief to Schmidty since he would then be allowed play second fiddle. Schmidt wasn't really appreciated until his last 3-4 years. He came out of his shell a little bit by then.
I just read the book ‘Power to the People’ by Laura Ingraham. The first chapter is about family and how liberals have used the term to justify their actions. She writes: ‘The cultural and political Left in America understands that whoever controls our children controls the future.’ (Obama Youth parade, kids singing songs for change, etc.) To liberals, children are only used ‘for political props’ and ‘to advance an agenda.’
So I am not surprised that liberals would boo a 6-year old. They see her merely as a tool, while conservatives view every child as a joy and a gift from God. I am not even surprised that they would even call Sarah’s child Trig an ‘IT’ rather than a ‘he’.
This isn’t a political issue. First, Philly fans pride themselves on booing just about everyone. Dropping the puck was a dumb political move for the campaign.
But in this case it’s even worse. The last time Palin was in Philly she went out for a jog wearing a jersey of the hated Rangers. The event was pretty well covered in Philly. It’s kind of like wearing a Yankees jersey in Boston and then going to Fenway a few weeks later. You aren’t going to get a warm reception.
> I still think it was a net plus for Sarah Palin. Free Publicity is always welcome.
As Oscar Wilde once said, “the only thing worse than being talked about... is not being talked about.”
do your fact checking on Obama statements
dude, they were low for booing a 6 year old. As intensely as I dislike Obama, I wouldn’t boo him if he had his kids with him, especially if he didn’t so much as open his mouth.
Gee, where did I excuse the booing. Oh, that’s right, I didn’t. I commented on how bad this decision was on the part of the campaign.
They didn’t boo a six year old. A six year old happened to be there. They booed Sarah. Like it or not this was a stupid campaign decision. Booing was guaranteed. Taking a 6-year old along just compounded it. The boos started as soon as they heard Sarah’s name.
If the campaign expected taking a child along would keep them from booing they were fools. Philly fans will boo just about anyone at just about any event.
nor am I. I'm not suprised they'd beat up a guy with his kid on his shoulders like the story four years ago. I'm not surprised they'd register the dead, the animals or the space aliens to vote. I'm also not surprised that the news media would overlook all those things , including MASSIVE voter registration fraud in Philly just this week, and make a huge deal about one person at a McCain rally calling out "off with his head" at mention of Obama. (I wonder if anybody else heard it other than the reporter, as they are known to hallucinate as when the AP reporter heard cheers at a Bush rally when Toon went in the hospital four years ago.)
