STATEMENT FROM MCCAIN-PALIN SPOKESWOMAN MEG STAPLETON
Friday, October 10, 2008
ARLINGTON, VA McCain-Palin 2008 spokeswoman Meg Stapleton issued the following statement on todays release of Stephen Branchflowers report:
Todays report shows that the Governor acted within her proper and lawful authority in the reassignment of Walt Monegan. The report also illustrates what weve known all along: this was a partisan led inquiry run by Obama supporters and the Palins were completely justified in their concern regarding Trooper Wooten given his violent and rogue behavior. Lacking evidence to support the original Monegan allegation, the Legislative Council seriously overreached, making a tortured argument to find fault without basis in law or fact. The Governor is looking forward to cooperating with the Personnel Board and continuing her conversation with the American people regarding the important issues facing the country.

I sometimes wonder, I really do. It is almost like he shot his wad with the finale in his acceptance speech. Since then, blah blah blah blah blah.
The constantly interrupting liberal little snot makes the show almost unwatchable. If Michael Steele and John Kasich had not been on tonight, I wouldn’t have tuned in. Colmes is the most obnoxious prick in Television, even more than James Car vile or Putrid Begala
I think he doesn’t care. He’s running like he needs to get along with the Democrats in the Senate after he loses.
Difficult to see how dumping Palin would help McCain. He might as well “reach across the aisle”, drop out of the race again, and endorse Obama.
Several weeks ago there was a pic on FR of the Alaska officials pushing “troopergate” taken in front of an Obama poster.
Well, that’s original. NOT! Doesn’t change the fact that McCain has disappointed a significant number of Freepers with his campaign (excluding the selection of Palin).
I have faith. We will fight the good fight to turn back the barbarians.
Wow, their entire readership replied to that poll! And the other 37 odd percent found the poll on google!
Dear Leader will not be pleased with your insubordination.......off to the re-education camps with you!
seriesly......we need to stand united behind Sarah, she is our only hope.
“Sarah needed to come out and say this herself.”
I am sure she will, the statement said so, but do you think she really ought to take tonight and do that right now? Of course not.
He’s about to disappoint us with that exception....
Sorry, but McCain should have not said that Obama would be just fine.
He should have said that he’s dangerous. Obama IS dangerous.
Alright daddy
McCain does not control Palin as much as Palin controls McCain. He knows it. I am not sure he does. But she has the leverage to do whatever she wants. and say whatever she wants.
However one feels, it's apparent that the campaign was fully prepared for the report and had the response ready to go.
On another note, I have my tickets for the Palin rally at a Virginia NASCAR track. Just me and tens of thousands of my closest friends!!
The “report” is nothing but bitter opinion. They scoured the law books for a month, looking for something to prosecute, but, SUPRISE! they found nothing.
McCain and Palin need to trumpet this as loud as they can; she was vindicated; there is no offense. Their deeply partisan opinion that she “abused” her power is a hollow death rattle for their “investigation.”
Are you kidding? Seriously, are you kidding because I can't tell. Palin is the lone bright spot for the GOP this fall.
