MEMORABLE MOMENTS FROM THIS TOWN HALL DEBATE - BE PROUD!
Free Republic | October 6, 2008 | Self and Free Republic Folk

There are other threads here that point out some of the disappointments of this town hall debate.

There are other threads that denounce Senator John McCain along with Barack Obama.

There are other threads that provide an outlet to cry and declare defeat.

Well, Free Republic Folk, I for one, am NOT willing to concede. I am not willing to see just the bad without seeing the good. I am not willing to give ONE inch to that terrorist loving, slim associating, undeserving domestic thug while we still have an honorable man who gave real truth, real character and real leadership this evening.

I know many of you were disappointed with this town hall debate.

However, I know many of you saw the GOOD as well.

Do NOT use this thread to declare a loss to John McCain's campaign. There are other threads if you want to do that.

Use this thread to share the memorable moments you noticed or experienced from this debate!

Whether it is a memorable moment you experienced from something John McCain said or a jab you noticed that hurt Barack Obama, share it here!

This is the thread to remember what we have to choose from: John McCain or Barack Obama.

For starts, I personally loved it when John McCain quoted Barack Obama: Senator Obama, you said that if the economy was bad, you would withdraw your tax plan. (Looking right in Obama's eyes) Well, Senator Obama, I've got information for you. The news is bad.

There were no memorable moments. Nobody will remember this dud of a debate.

The most important comment of the debate was the one Obama didn’t make, in response to that statement.

I don't buy the polls showing Obama on top all over. Their sampling looks more like push polls.

After the debate tonight, I hope Sarah Palin keeps revamping her vaunted Moose hunting skills into the biggest Jack-Ass hunt of all time. And there's nothing but a target rich environment for her with the MSM and in Washington, DC.

Knock 'em down, field dress 'em, skin 'em, and send what's left packin'. Sarah is coming to town.

SARAH PALIN IS DRAWING HUGE CROWDS AT RALLIES ALL ACROSS THE NATION

The debate was constrained and limited by Tom Brokaw. Thats why you hear some folks pooh-poohing the debate itself. The pundits wanted fresh material to discuss for the next week and were disappointed by the lack thereof.

In regards to the candidates responses, it was hands down McCain's night. McCain merely demonstrated point after point why Obama is not fit nor ready to lead this country at this perilous point in time.

This election is now a referendum on Obama not McCain.

I think that overall, McCain did well. The matter is ‘who are you more comfortable with’?

McCain landed some good punches. He painted Obama as someone who is inexperienced and who will say whatever to get elected, but won’t deliver.

I agree. I will not quit fighting. I think we built ourselves up too much. Big pluses

1. He smacked Obama on Freddie and Fannie

2. He advocated a spending freeze and low taxes for all.

What Obama got from this debate is what he got from the first one. More credibility as commander in chief.

It is no wonder why Brokaw picked these lame questions which almost went in line with the first debate. The bad thing that this guarantees is that the last debate will probably have less viewers.

This isn’t over till its over but the best we can hope for is that this race is pretty much where we started when we went into it.

Well, I have to give you credit for trying, but....

As I post this, you're up to 12 posts already and the only "Memorable Moment" so far was the one you posted, several boughts of crickets croaking, a picture of some old fart sleeping and a couple neutral comments....

Says a lot about how strong McCain knocked this one out of the park.

I'm looking for some land where the growing season is decent, wildlife plentiful and where we don't worry much about national government....... life here on the East Coast is certainly about to get very weird....

Obama has no plan for the economy. Saying it is George Bush’s fault is not a plan. He presents himself as the man of ideas, the man of change. NAda, NADA, naDA is all the change he offered, the only idea he had.
