While the two presidential candidates, Senators John McCain and Barack Obama, prepare for their second debate on Oct. 7 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tom Brokaw gets to sift through questions submitted by you. In addition to queries from a group randomly selected by the Gallup organization, Brokaw will be fielding questions submitted online at mydebates.org, the site created by the Commission on Presidential Debates and Myspace. The focus of the town hall-style debate will be domestic and foreign policy, Brokaw's specialties.
‘...But as Alan Colmes stated last night. No big deal, no one was killed....’
I could not believe my ears when I heard that idiot say that.......
My sister is a rather typical undecided voter.EXACTLY RIGHT!
Things she likes about Obamas policies:
Health Care for All Americans.
Higher taxes for millionaires, and abusive golden parachutes, etc.
She voted for Bush last time, is leaning toward Obama now.
Those are the people who will decide the election.
And Obama articulates these populist positions very well, even claiming the conservative ground sometimes. Unless Sen. McCain counters them, he's sunk.
One good hit he scored tonight was the point that Obama has promised this stuff before, but never sponsored any legislation to make it happen. I think that has to be hammered OVER AND OVER..."If this is what you want to happen, why didn't you write any bills while you've been in the Senate to make it happen?!?" and "Why are you writing letters to Paulson but not jumping on board with the legislation I co-sponsored?"
He is wasting dollars and lots of them in an attempt to keep it secret.
I caught that too. I guarantee it's ANOTHER LIE!
During Obamas campaign for the 2008 presidential election, he portrayed his mother as a conservative girl from Kansas; however in reality she was a radical leftist and cultural Marxist. She lived in the Seattle area; spending her teenage years in Seattle coffee shops with other young radical leftist. Obama claims his mothers family were conservative Methodists or Baptists from Kansas. However his mothers parents were members of a left-wing Unitarian church near Seattle. The church located in Bellevue, Washington was nicknamed the little red church, because of its communist leanings.
When Ann Dunham arrived in Hawaii , she was a full fledged radical leftist and practitioner of critical theory. She also began to engage in miscegenation (inter-racial relationships) as part of her attack on society. Susan Blake, one of her friends has stated she never dated the crew-cut white boys. She had a world view, even as a young girl.
I’m in Texas...solid McCain. It will be a protest vote. McCain is not a conservative.
Neither won truly I think distanced himself from the other in the debate, per se. But what I think will come out of this will be the new stuff that people pay attention. The buying up of the home mortgages.
I don’t like it. At all. Not based on free markets. But these will grab people and news cycles. What people will discuss. And this will diminish Obama. And with continuing the Ayers/Rezko/other affiliation, will push the polls closer.
Is it enough to push Mac past BHO. Don’t think so. But think it will even things up. Till the next debate anyway. My $.02.
My FRiends
Until now, I was weakly supporting McCain for president, mainly due to anti-Obama sympathies.
Tonight, McCain has out-and-out LOST my vote.
His new plan to bailout everyone who has a “bad mortgage” is a direct slap in the face to me and to everyone else who has stayed far away from balloon mortgages and other bad investments. We have toiled and worked for years to pay our fixed mortgage, but who knew! We could have gotten a cheap ARM and got rescued by the government!
This is one of the most outrageous acts of Socialism that I have ever seen, and I am flabbergasted that it came from the Republican nominee. I have never seen anything like it.
Palin had me excited for a while, but the ship is ultimately steered by the leader, and I have extreme fundamental disagreements on where this “leader” will take us.
Bring on the “you’re helping Obama” comments. To me, they are cut from the same cloth and dyed different colors. I reject both candidates.
Our country is in deep trouble.
TOLLI-BAHN
Come mister Tolly Bon
Tolly me Obama
Daylight come and I wanna go home
Zero.... Zeeeeeero
You got bracelet
I got one too
Come mister Tolly Bon
Tolly me Obama
Obama come and I wanna go home
As Gov. Palin mentioned, she has to go through the MSM filter. Sen. McCain is blowing his unique opportunity to speak directly to the American people.
They said the base would never show up for McCain. And although many are holding their noses, they are showing up for him.
They would have showed up.
yes, the way Osama pronounces Pakistan and Taliban creeps me out also. But then— he says them like Muslims do — so it shouldn’t surprise us.
Are you saying .......TROLLL?????!!!!??????
If the mushy people think McCain won the economy debate, he won the (1 hour)debate. McCain certainly didn’t lose the debate on (1/2 hour)foreign policy.
Are you saying .......TROLLL?????!!!!??????
One thing FReepers can help with:
I did notice that when Obama was talking about the policies this Administration has put into place since 9/11 (I think it was when he was speaking about Afghanastan)that those actions and policies around the world have "made us MORE safe." from terrorism. Yes, he said MORE, (perhaps he might have meant to say "Less." LOL) Freudian slip? I bet he hopes no one caught that. I wonder if someone did and captured it on tape. It would be a great video!!! And hard to dispute.
I think it’s just the opposite. McCain speaks clearly to the folks. Barry is a little snot who thinks he’s super sophisticated. I couldn’t tell you one of his answers.
Ding! Ding! Ding! Post of the Night!
Bank of America took over Countrywide. BOA is going to re-do lots of Countrywide loans at low interest rates. I’m not sure if Uncle Sam is in on it or not. Maybe McCain was misunderstood because this is happening in the free market and was in today’s paper. I arrived late. I don’t know Mc’s exact words.

Lost mine too. I don’t care. I’ve had enough.
Do you want Obama ?
You are one of the same morons who gave us Bill Clinton in 1992.
