While the two presidential candidates, Senators John McCain and Barack Obama, prepare for their second debate on Oct. 7 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tom Brokaw gets to sift through questions submitted by you. In addition to queries from a group randomly selected by the Gallup organization, Brokaw will be fielding questions submitted online at mydebates.org, the site created by the Commission on Presidential Debates and Myspace. The focus of the town hall-style debate will be domestic and foreign policy, Brokaw's specialties.
i honestly have no idea what this guy is saying...
he just talks and talks and babbles and babbles...
Can we have a total speaking time of each at the end?
Maybe He’s at Kate’s restaurant in Biden’s home town.... Nope, couldn’t be, that place closed down in the 80’s.
Thats because he is a poser
WHAT A MORON! If we become more energy-independent, Russia has less money for mischief?
HEY OBAMA! YES, YOU, YOU MORON! RUSSIA SHIPS OIL TO EUROPE, NOT THE UNITED STATES!!!
Does the idiot think the Russians beam it to us or something?
Anybody have a “Don’t Blame ME. I voted for Hunter” sticker. Could go right below the Palin 2012 sticker.
You're right, he's stammering and uh-uh-ing and generally nonsensical
McCarthy? I mean McCarty, whoops. At least I have a common last name.
Obama thinks we need to surrender to Russia
This is Nashville? I’d expect to see folks dressed in Little Jimmy Dickens and Minnie Pearl duds. This ain’t no real Nashville.
Tom, and my fellow Americans, I want to finish with this. Besides terrorism abroad, we have to worry about terrorism here. There is a man who is probably watching tonight in Chicago. Years ago, he and his group were responsible for bombing the Pentagon and other government buildings. Three police officers were murdered by the Weather Underground. Except for a premature detonation, one of their bombs would have killed may soldiers and their wives or girlfriends at a dance at Ft. Dix. I want to make my position clear. I will never serve on boards with a terrorist. I will never attend public discussions with a terrorist. I will never accept a campaign contribution from a terrorist. And I will never attend a fundraiser in the home of a terrorist. I wish my opponent would have felt the same.
No way did that audience write those questions.
The first one seemed real, the rest seem fake, and just don’t fit with the people that are asking them.
Think about it. If you were sitting there at a presidential debate, and wrote a question that you may be called upon to ask of a candidate, wouldn’t you have it in your mind and be ready to ask it?? When the people are reading them, they don’t act like they know what they are going to say, as if they are reading from a script.
Call me paranoid. This all just doesn’t smell right.
Obama just “tripped”? You’re being kind. This guy is an absolute joke on foreign policy. He babbled all over the place, it was UGLY!
Not to worry,,,Sarah is on the case,,she will hit obama over and over. That lady is the official kick ass person inthe campaign.
McCain is adhering to the debate rules, Obama is being rude and hogging the time for him and McCain, too... plus Brokow is asking MTP questions and few from the audience.
Please, let me eat my words. Please let McCain win this thing by a Flutiesque hail Mary!
Whoo-Hoo LOVE Terry’s question!
Frankly, get a principled constitutional conservative that is articulate and can speak to these issues.
America will respond to truth. McCain as long-time Senator knows nothing but compromise. Obama seems to be running circles around him from a debate perspective, but all his solutions are government oriented.
There have been so many openings to carry the day. Heck, both these guys know more about the “details” then I do, but I think I would have handed them their lunch in answering these softball questions outlining a philosophy of true conservative principles of limited government, decentralization of power, and Christian values of virtue, compassion, and sacrifice.
Unfortunately, we have the system we deserve. A government by the people for the people, and it doesn’t say much about the people.
McCain just accused Obama of starting the cold war with his yes answer. Good shot McCain!
totally agree. he was only down a few points going itno this, (and likely really tied when considering the Bradley effect.) he did well enough.
