PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE #2 LIVE THREAD
10/07/08
Posted on 10/07/2008 2:01:24 PM PDT by TornadoAlley3
While the two presidential candidates, Senators John McCain and Barack Obama, prepare for their second debate on Oct. 7 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tom Brokaw gets to sift through questions submitted by you. In addition to queries from a group randomly selected by the Gallup organization, Brokaw will be fielding questions submitted online at mydebates.org, the site created by the Commission on Presidential Debates and Myspace. The focus of the town hall-style debate will be domestic and foreign policy, Brokaw's specialties.

Obama... blahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblah... Is it too soon to declare that nobody won this debate?
Can we set all expectations on the next debate?
Can we make it seem shallow, manipulated, and false for the MSM to try to claim that Obama slam-dunked this debate (as the stories are probably already written)?

Wealthy? This country is in debt up to its eyebrows. If the financial system doesn't get fixed, they'll be closing hospitals as fast as banks..

Up there with Freedom of Religion, Freedom of the Press, Freedom of Assembly, The Right to Bear Arms. Those aren't really "rights," now, are they?
The only real rights are the right to get other people's money in entitlement programs, the right to abortion, the right to health care until you're too old or sick to vote or pay taxes, and the right to vote for Lord Obama.
Those other things are actually privileges that you don't really need.

McCain is getting strong here talking about the good of this country. Yes, he's finally nailing Obama on his record on Iraq and the troops

America is the greatest force for good in the history of the world...we have gone to all four corners of the earth and shed our blood. We are a nation of good.
That to me won the debate for Mac. I got chills.

Obama just put out there that people will flood the states where there’s no screening on pre conditions...he’s exposing his Chicago socialist background and work history because he’s telling us what all the angles are, how he probably has pointed out the directions and way to get freebies with these angles and everyone else pays.
