While the two presidential candidates, Senators John McCain and Barack Obama, prepare for their second debate on Oct. 7 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tom Brokaw gets to sift through questions submitted by you. In addition to queries from a group randomly selected by the Gallup organization, Brokaw will be fielding questions submitted online at mydebates.org, the site created by the Commission on Presidential Debates and Myspace. The focus of the town hall-style debate will be domestic and foreign policy, Brokaw's specialties.
Line Item Vetoing was deemed unconstitutional when President Reagan tried it.
I guess Obama forgot about that since he was only 27 back in the 80’s
Is this all coming out incomprehensible to the average joe?
Pretty boring debate...but must say, McCain is doing just fine. His answers will stick longer....
LOL - Like it!
Is it too late for a legitimate 3rd party candidate?
O is going to force companies to give insurance?? SOCIALISM HERE WE COME!!
how about "thats something americans can be proud of Hussein
Couldn’t agree with you more. Everyone, Democrats and Republicans said that Bill Clinton was very likable. I believe them. Obama, no way. He’s so full of himself.
The Dems did a MUCH better job of packing the audience than the GOP. It's almost like we play fair, so republicans don't lie and claim to be undecided, while the Dems stacked the deck.
Bo’s health plan is to work with employers?
What a ditz.
Once the Gov offers health insurance, employers will drop covering it.
Surely one of the most boring debates I’ve heard.
Big 0 just said “giveth and taketh”. . .who does he think he is?
Commie? But these are undecided, nonpartisans in the audience!
I am so sick of these questions...
FREE HEALTH CARE
CLIMATE CHANGE
Go away...these people are not undecideds.
“McCain is doing a good thing here...invoking Reagan and Tip ONeill.
Hussein has never taken on his party. Never EVER EVER. Good point, Mac.”
JUNIOR senator Hoebama ain’t took on anybody. He hasn’t been around long enough.
In other words - it's full of people who can't decide between a really bad candidate and a lying Communist with ties to terrorists and radical Islamist extremist who would damage America to the point that would take decades to recover from even if Ronald Reagan was resurrected.
And here we thought we were in an economic crisis... More free lunch! More free lunch!
Nashville has a HUGE healthcare industry. THe question wasn’t about insurance, it was about whether for-profit providers should exist.
Obama misunderstood. Nashvillians know where the socialist woman was going.
Obama using scare tactics now saying mammograms, maternity, etc. would not be covered in Mccain’s plan.
