PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE #2 LIVE THREAD
10/07/08
Posted on 10/07/2008 2:01:24 PM PDT by TornadoAlley3
While the two presidential candidates, Senators John McCain and Barack Obama, prepare for their second debate on Oct. 7 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tom Brokaw gets to sift through questions submitted by you. In addition to queries from a group randomly selected by the Gallup organization, Brokaw will be fielding questions submitted online at mydebates.org, the site created by the Commission on Presidential Debates and Myspace. The focus of the town hall-style debate will be domestic and foreign policy, Brokaw's specialties.

He is smooth tonight, slinking rings around McCain so far.
But since I saw the thread today showing how much more Obama looks like a young Frank Marshall Davis and particularly how Obama and Davis have distinctively similar ears, all I can see is Obama with Davis’s ears.

“The real problem is the bankers and derivative folks.”
The subprime default rate is approaching 25%, and the default rate on recent vintage loans generally is much higher than 5%. Homeowners are a fundamental part of the problem, as much as the bankers who made leveraged bets them.

Will there be any fact checking later on what Obama is saying here to Finch's question? He's making my head spin with his spin, I'm feeling like the girl in the exorcist
To: kabar
Brokaw changes the subject after both respond to the question. You noticed.
This is the way that the moderator can favor one candidate over another. If the subject leads to discussions of Fannie Mae's contributions to Obama then just change the subject - which Brokaw did.

McCain contrasts his experience on bipartisanship with Zerobama, who has none.
McCain—Zerobama the must liberal big spending record in Senate.
Schooling Theresa on Zerobama’s earmarks and pork barrel projects.
Says look at our records and our proposals on economy.
Stresses energy independence is key.

But McCain is setting the real record straight. Granted he is nervous, but he's laying out how Obama's entitlement over spending programs are outrageous.
