If this is going to get out anyway, better to be the network which was 'misled' rather than just another pack of liars and schills.
Of course, the one with the stones and 'vision' to expose the lies would be first in line for promotion when the dust settles.
Otherwise, forget relevance ('cause you can't fool all the people all the time, and murder will out), forget ratings, and forget a broadcasting future as CNN goes the way of the NYT.

Soros and short hedge funds are making billions. The Set up was Fannie and Freddie. Get bansk and investment banks to stuff their portfolios with these unless mortgages to people who never should have had mortgages.
Then just sit their like a pack of wolves and go after each company by shorting on one end and buying credit default swaps of the companies on the other end. The net affect on the Company is like one person pushing a drowning man under and another person pulling them under. Just pick them off one by one.
They wiped out Wall Street. Pritzkers and Buffett are also involved.
