I was able to watch part of McCain’s speech at lunch - he looked and sounded GREAT. This is the McCain we’re going to need from here on out to defeat Urkel and his radical leftist agenda. There’s a month left until election day...in politics, that’s a lifetime.

Go get ‘em John and Sarah!!!

Personal pet peeve, but is it possible to correct the title of this thread? I know that when I observe the enemy over at DU, I think they are even MORE stupid when their sentences do not make sense.

The best way to get that accomplished is to ping the Admin and/or the freeper who started the thread.

But, he’s not hitting hard enough yet.

I agree - let’s help him out! How should McCain hit even harder? What should he do next?!!

Should he start highlighting the Odinga thing? Was BO a Senator or a State Rep when he was in Africa helping Odinga? Either way, WITW is a US gov’t employee doing in Africa trying to get a communist elected? Or is he Marxist?

Should McCain target ACORN? Obama’s ties to ACORN? The Dem party’s ties to ACORN?

C’mon, we got some big MO now, let’s plan ahead to the next HIT!

Senator Obama has accused me of opposing regulation to avert this crisis. I guess he believes if a lie is big enough and repeated often enough it will be believed. But the truth is I was the one who called at the time for tighter restrictions on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that could have helped prevent this crisis from happening in the first place.

Senator Obama was silent on the regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and his Democratic allies in Congress opposed every effort to rein them in. As recently as September of last year he said that subprime loans had been, quote, "a good idea." Well, Senator Obama, that "good idea" has now plunged this country into the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression.

Oh yeah, time to not just take the gloves off but slip the brass knuckles on and fire at will.

“PUNDIT ALERT

Easy response to the Obama surrogates saying that Obama’s relationship with Ayers was superficial and that Obama was only 8 and quote “said the acts were dispicable”

So Obama wants the American Public to excuse his bad judgement?”

**Exactly and add a B.S. alert too! Apparently Obama didn’t think Ayers’ acts were dispicable enough to prevent him from hob-nobbing with the man, accepting his money and his endorsement....what a liar Obama is!

“I’ve been fighting for you my whole life.”

Wow. Obama cannot equal that simple line with anything else. So simple and very powerful.

WELL - I read the transcript. I must say that Senator McCain didn’t pull any punches.

Very interesting tactics employed by the McCain campaign. Give a little, lure them in, then hit hard and at several places at once. He didn’t mention Ayers or Wright. Governor Palin gets to lead that attack. McCain counter-attacks with Obama’s lack of a record, his lack of experience, his dodging and weaving on specifics, the contradictions of what we do know about what he did with what he has said. Linking Obama to the financial mess at the two FMs is excellent work. What is Obama supposed to do? He has to answer Palin and he has to answer McCain and he has to try and do both the day before a debate. What will McCain bring up in the debate? How does Obama prepare?

McCain is showing he can adapt to changing conditions. The Ayers/Wright attack has been on the boards for months, I am sure, but the attack on Obama on the economy is new and it reads pretty well. The old man is a fighter who learned his lessons in real battle and in 30 years of often very controversial and heated debate. Don’t count him out.

I *heart* the PUMAs! You go girls (and guys)! I don’t agree with many of their positions, but I dang sure do agree with their distaste (to put it mildly) of Obama and the left-wing radicals in the Democrat party - like Pelosi, Reid, Barney Frank, et al.

I can’t wait till the debate tomorrow night!

Go John and Sarah! Have no mercy on America’s enemies - foreign and domestic.

"Would someone why the hell Fox is interrupting his speech for commentary? I don't remember them doing the same thing to Obama! Come on Fox, SHUT UP!

Thank goodness I can get it on CSPAN."

I think they were in some shock hearing the 'new' McCain.

The one doing the interrupting is a real bozo, anyway..not my favorite Fox guy!!

You are right about the networks knowing in advance what McCain was going to say in his speech.

I was listening to Fox before the speech and one of the talking heads read a couple of excerpts from the speech.

Yes I would guess the only network who carried the speech live was FOX!!!!
