It also continues a remarkable twenty-five days in a row where the Democrat’s support has never declined by even a single point. The Democratic candidate has gained six full percentage points of support since Lehman Brothers collapsed to start the Wall Street mess ...

How about 2008?

Perhaps it’s time to start insisting Palin is the better candidate ... on the ticket?

Sorry folks, this does NOT make sense at all. I am not sensing ANY tide turning towards Obama.

The blue states are getting bluer, BIG DEAL!

There was an interesting discussion yesterday on the reality on the ground in PA. A lot of FReepers from Pitt and Philly saying that Zero is losing among the white blue collar Democrats, which would make it impossible for him to carry PA.

If Zero can’t carry Pennsylvania, there is no way he wins.

Huh..knock it off, there is still a month to go, and with 27% undecided, and a weighing of 6% more dems in this poll, it’s still a close race.

It looks like the public school systems have finally accomplished their goal of dumbing down America to the point they would vote for a Marxist.

Sad.....

I was hoping for someone good news for a change from Rasmussen. Sadly, I was disappointed. Palin is working her ass off, but where’s McCain?

Bullshit alert! In such polls no movement of one side is almost always a sign of a bad poll.

Not good. At all. The only movement is towards The One. McCain/Palin can't seem to break out of the low 40s. If Mc/P have any heavy artillery, it's time to unload it.

October 5-11, 2008, the partisan weighting targets used by Rasmussen Reports will be 39.3% Democratic, 33.3% Republican, and 27.4% unaffiliated.

Exactly.

Palin should focus on herself, and getting herself ready to run against Obama in ‘12.

It is delusional to believe that Sarah Palin has a national political future if she loses this election.

Most tracking polls agree that McCain is trailing by 7 to 8 pts (Gallup 43 - 50, Hotline 41 - 48, Ras 44 - 52). There are some outliers in both directions.

Each day of bad economic news, each 2% drop in the Dow costs McCain 0.5% or so. He will not get any closer if the markets don’t turn soon.

I work as sort of an applied mathematician in the financial industry. I know from my experience that every mathematical model is based on some underlying assumption. In this case, the underlying assumptions have to do with demographics, turnout, etc. Problem is, if you have a bizarre race like this one, these assumptions increasingly become invalid. Remember, polls showed Ronnie and Carter tied going into election day, and it wasn’t even close.

AGAIN. There is NO WAY Osbama gets 50% of the vote. I want Rasmussen to put his money where his poll is. If he is confident about these numbers he should call the race over. If he is going to release polls like this he should stake his reputation and credibility on it. If Osbama does not get 50%+ Rasmussen should be driven out of business.

Here we go with the doomsday posts. There’s no way Sarah didn’t affect the polls more positively. Do we have to remind ourselves every day that these polls are unreasonably weighted in favor of the dems?

The way I see it,

this nation is going to be the subject of the Lord’s Mercy or the Lord’s Judgement in this election.

We should all pray for the Lord’s mercy. If He shows mercy, we must make certain that we humbly thank Him.

A few possible game-changes remain to give us hope here:

1. The Ayers connection, which up until now, hasn’t been covered in the MSM, could resonate with voters, many of whom are just tuning in.

2. A knockout effort by McCain at the town-hall style debate tomorrow.

3. (I hate to wish this, but) A major foreign event involving a dire threat to national security.
