Alec Baldwin Points Fingers At Barney Frank & Democrats for Fiscal Crisis

If a Bush-bashing, Republican-hating nincompoop like Alec Baldwin understands that Democrats are responsible for the current financial crisis, and is willing to say so on national television, why can't America's so-called "real" journalists?

Baldwin blames Frank and Democrats for Fannie & Freddie. He also blames Clinton for the repeal of Glass-Stegall (banking act). G-S Act came out of the 1929 Crash where Banks could not do securities, securities firms could not be banks, investment pools were banned (modern day hedge funds), no naked shorting and the uptick rule on shorting (very important) and Chris Cox is still screwing around no reimplementing the uptick rule. Obama's buddies at the Chicago Options Exchange can still drive stocks down with options.

So why did Baldwin say this now and 24-hours after O'Reilly? They are both from Long Island and they know each other. Both are loud Irish-Catholic like fellow Long Islander Rosie. BTW - I am part Irish.

My guess is Alec and O'Reilly have lots friends on Wall Street and on Long Island that have been absolutely devastated. NYC/Wall Street has been devastated because of Fannie & Freddie. Baldwin is 100% right about Fannie & Freddie with Frank and his lackeys who were specifically on the Congressional Black Caucas protecting Raines. Baldwin probably did not want to be painted as a racist. He is right about Clinton and Glass-Stegal's repeal. The question is does he have another motive. Is this to make Frank the fall guy to divert attention away from Obama.

Baldwin is not a stupid guy and said this for a reason. Maybe he knows what the real plan is and he saw how that "plan" has wiped out friends of his on Wall Street and on Long Island.

McCain and Palin need to try to educate the public that Fannie & Freddie were our Financial 9/11 and Pearl Harbor in one. If Obama and the Democrats are in control - this will happen again and we will be financially bled to death. The Democrats were 90% at fault here and they flipped it on the Repubs and most of the public bought it. McCain tried in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and on to try to stop the Fannie & Freddie, CRA, community organazier undermining of our entire financial system and was blocked by Democrats. What we have witnessed over the passed 3 weeks was a coup. Offshore money helped. This was a 9/11 Part 2. Osama's goal was to financially cripple the United States on 9/11.

I have a neighbor who worked for a financial firm that was solid and was wiped out overnight. I have no idea what this guy is gonna do. This could have been me or anyone else I or we know.

Contribute and volunteer for McCain-PALIN 2008.

Surprising, but what’s not surprising is that as with most liberals it takes going through a personal encounter with reality for them to wake up (if only for a few minutes). He’ll revert to a retard in due time, fear not.

As they say - even a stopped clock is right once in a while. Do not waste time celebrating the fact that someone like Alec Baldwin might be right occasionally. We need to completely eliminate the concept that mere celebrity has been transformed into thought leader. It doesn’t matter what these people think.

Baldwin must have lost his pants on wall street this past week. There is no explanation for why he would actually see the light and blame the real culprits when the dem talking points are "the savior, obama, knew the answer and no evil republican would listen to him"....

I don’t think any of us are looking at Arrec Barrwin for our salvation, but when a partisan like him blames Barney the gay dinosaur and the dems it makes a lot of people sit up and notice.

I bet you when some independents hear that one of the loudest democrats blames democrats for the economy they might just start reading a bit.

Bill Clinton couple weeks back says Democrats blocked the Republicans from legislation to rein in Fannie Mae. McCain is running a TV ad showing that. I was really pleased to see that since many Democrats take Clinton's word as the gospel truth.

Bill Clinton also blamed the Democrats.

Something bizarre must be happening behind the scenes.

Probably for Alec this will be one issue only, but this is a HUGE issue. His brother turned to the right years ago (Stephen) and others have, too. Jon Voight and Dennis Miller are two of my favorite examples. A lot of these people are social liberals but turning more and more the other direction on other issues, like economics.

My guess is that Alec has seen a lot of his own “worth” diminished lately, and assuming he is watching and understanding what’s going on, his speaking out makes sense. Maybe it took hearing Bill Clinton make a statement the other day to the effect that some things really needed to be tightened up during his administration vis-a-vis Freddie/Fannie etc.

Regardless, as much as I have long despised Alec Baldwin for so many reasons, it’s good to hear him make sense on even one issue.

Very weird. Baldwin’s brother (Steven?) is a conservative and born again Christian who is active in Christian causes. Maybe he is influencing Alec. He was the brother in who was in The Usual Suspects film - excellent.

Alec started doing soaps that were filmed in NY. He has kept his connection to NYC and LI. This has been devastating to NYC and bedroom communities in NJ, NY and CT. Any fools in these states who vote Obama after what he and his cronies with Freddie Mac & Fannie Mae are out of their mind.

This is also very important:
Power shifted from Wall Street to DC because of this in a BIG way. Wall Street to a large extent was a victim of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Small rural well run banks around the country were hurt. They parked excess cash in Fannie & Freddie secs like preferred stock as they were told by DC that F & F were totally safe.

This was a financial coup by Democrats supporting Obama. I think Bill Clinton was even stunned by what happened.

I wouldn’t be that shocked to see Bill Clinton endorse McCain before this election is over, he could pull that whole thing like when he raised taxes. “I’ve thought about this harder than I ever have..” LOL

Heads up - this could turn the tide.
FOX is rerunning “Saving the Economy...” at 2 EST this afternoon and again at 10:00pm and again at 1:00 in the morning.

They ran it 3 times yesterday.

If you haven’t seen it, you MUST. It is a TOTAL take-down on the demRats regarding the Fannie/Freddie economic debacle.

It names names, shows clips, shows how Bush sounded the alarm and tried to get it reigned it, how the republicans tried to and had hearings - to be shouted down by the demRats and defeated with all demRats voting against, all pubs voting for reigning it in - led by barney and Dodd and Shuckster, how the 2 biggest recipients of the Fannie/Freddie were Dodd and Obama - how a ‘young community organizer, years ago, in Chicago, worked with ACORN to push through these loans for even NO income people - a young community organizer named BO -

This whole program is a total and stark expose laying out who - the demRats - brought this all about and how they blocked every effort by the Republicans to reign it in.

If you have not seen this program - you must. I pray they keep airing this until Nov. It may just wake some people up.
It’s an issue that all America is paying attention to, finally. This program shows them who orchestrated the whole fiasco.

I could hardly believe my ears when I heard it last night. Incredible. So far, I haven’t heard a peep of ‘outrage’ from the left. I think this scares them to death and they hope it will just go away.

I think there’s going to be some major investigations although, if we don’t give mcC/Sarah a majority in the Senate and House to work with, it won’t matter if barney et al are found absolutely guilty - they will NOT be forced to step down. Take the case of william “cold cash” jefferson, for ex.

email everyone you know to watch this and email FOX with KUDOS - the more response, the more they’ll air it.
