ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is accusing Democrat Barack Obama of "palling around with terrorists" for his association with a former 1960s radical.

Palin was referring to Bill Ayers, one of the founders of the group the Weather Underground. The group took credit for bombings, including nonfatal explosions at the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol four decades ago.

Is JM farming out to Palin what he should be saying as the top of the ticket, so he can look “above” the fray? I think it makes him look cowardly.

Thank God for Palin.

Doing the job McCain should have been doing since June.

I hope she keeps it up, and if the McCain campaign tries to silence her, I hope she tells them to go to H*ll.

OK here’s Reuters on this story. Reuters sucks even more than AP, if that’ possible.

“Joking that the “heels are off,” Palin launched into an aggressive assault on Obama, accusing him of “palling around with terrorists” and calling him an embarrassment.

She cited a New York Times story on Saturday examining Obama’s relationship with Bill Ayers, a former member of the Vietnam-era militant Weather Underground organization who is now a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The Times concluded they were not close.

“Our opponent though is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough that is he palling around with terrorists who would target their own country?” Palin told a fund-raiser in Englewood, Colorado.”

In the same story, we learn that Obama today held a rally in Illinois. What the hell for? That’s like McCain holding a rally in Utah.

“Obama is going to have to respond to this which will bring it back in the open.”

Yeah, right...
And next the media will airdrop just as many “Journalists” into Ghana to find Rev Wright as they did in Alaska to find dirt on Palin, right???

I won’t be holding my breath.

The media (except for FOX) , IF they cover it, will be attcking her for daring to say such a thing, about such a great man.....)

Only thing that worries me is, how widely will this story get out?

It’s a VERY BRIEF story, considering how newsworthy it is. AP will make it available, but how widely will it appear?

Let’s hope!

This has to be pressed again and again, and then broadened to include stories about how close they were, and what Ayers did, and how he recently said he hadn’t done enough.

Dont forget this little tidbit about red-diaper baby David Axelrod. It completes the circle.

"The radicalism of Frank Marshall Davis that was planted in a young Barack Obama appears to have taken root – and the son of a writer for a Communist-dominated newspaper – is running Obama’s political campaign to help him become President and Commander-in-Chief of our Armed Forces."
