The conservative stars are in it & as I was on the way to the movie I heard an interview by Kelsey Grammer by Michael Medved. The obvious question from Michael
I am not sure which of the articles was from AP.. they were all from other online movie review sites. w/no AP sources.
The one pix I discovered was & saved it, modified it, loaded to my server & reposted it at second thread
I think a lot of us are confused about this .. I know obviously if it says AP in the url link for pix or at the article. I am not upset at anyone other than myself for NOT getting it. I will go back & check again because I obviously missed something along the way- I surely DO understand the financial situation with posting the links of AP etc & dont wish to stir the pot adversly
The 3 reviews are all from elsewhere. I am not trying to be argumentative just a bit clueless here.
(and yes, I was kidding about MM being a mod.. wouldn’t that just be the pits?) I realize you as mods are volunteers & in most cases a thankless job & have no fault with you whatsoever.
Dolly, where did you read "articles from AP"?
okay, I am clueless .. totally. sorry for taking your time. I thought that AP was the problem. I really have not a clue what was at fault in the 2nd thread..
the one reviewer was Natan Lee (and independent reviewer for many sites), Lisa Schwarzbaum from Entertainment Weekly & the third from Rotten Tomatoes
The pix were (in this order in thread)My serverr, apple.com, Entertainment weekly, American Carol homepage, American Carol homepage, my server, American Carol homepage.
the initial top review was my personal one & I permit your use of my reviews/material..(wink)
Thanks for the ping!
Freepers, please see this movie THIS WEEKEND. It is funny, timely, patriotic, and sticks numerous thumbs into the eyes of the left.
The producer and distributor, both of whom I saw last night, are concerned about the early box office results.
Opening weekend means everything in terms of perception, and future support from exhibitors.
This movie deserves to be a hit. Let’s help make it so!
If the movie is too far away for you to see it you can still support conservatism and slap HollyRottenwood in the face. I bought four tickets online, although I won’t be able to go.
Being able to enjoy the film is only a small part of my motivation for buying these tickets. The lesser of my motivations will not be sated, but the greater of them has been.
thanks for sharing that!
Good idea!
My kids love the Naked Gun movies, Top Secret and the Hot Shots flicks. I fast forward through the couple of inappropriate portions in each. Of course I have to explain a couple of double entendres, but they get the slapstick very well.
Of course they inherit their sense of humor from a dad who grew up on Get Smart and Laugh In.
I only wish I could fast forward at the theater when a raunchy scene comes up.
Sorry, I was being lazy and clicked on your message when I really should’ve responded to his.
Hi Dolly :)
Thanks for the ping!
I just got home from the movie. The menfolk in the house are on a backpacking trip, so I treated myself and just loved it. With all the madness of this election season, I really needed to laugh, and it did me a world of good. Now I have to try to get the rest of the family to see it, so I can go again!
Saw it today. Pretty funny.
We saw it and enjoyed it. I was giggling most of the way through, as were most of the other folks in the audience. It has potential to be a ‘cult classic’ in that I’m sure it will improve with additional viewings with like-minded friends and everyone can shout out the lines like you’re watching Monty Python or an Evil Dead flick.
The plot did have problems, as others have stated upthread, but the problem wasn’t that something was ‘missing.’ The problem was that there was too much crammed into one movie. The screenplay needed serious and disciplined editing. There were three or four complete movies stuffed into one - was it Princess Bride? was it Dickens? was it Shaun of the Dead (*loved* the zombies, btw)? was it Bollywood? Pick one story. Keep it simple. Tell it well. Do it again five more more times for sequels.
Saw it at 2:50 on Friday - urging all I know and meet to go.
Awesome movie
I’m really looking forward to seeing this movie Dolly...haven’t been to a theater in ages!:)
Saw the movie tonight with hubby and 19 year old son. Thought it was hilarious and really enjoyed this conservative movie! One up for the good guys!
Saw it tonight...I never laughed so hard while feeling so good doing it. It nails the left hard. I’m still shocked that many stars appeared in this knowing it may hurt their careers. I thoroughly enjoyed it, laughed at most of the skits and appreciated the humor in the ones I didn’t laugh at.
Every conservative should see this movie. Every liberal needs to see this movie. Support this effort so more will be made!
