OJ Simpson jury to announce decision tonight in Las Vegas at 10pm Pacific.
LOL!
He didn't? With an almost all black jury?
Even if he didn't have common sense, the probability of conviction versus acquittal was 50%. Moreover, it lends more credence to what I said about him playing god by deliberately manipulating his testimony (as you yourself stated!) to prove a point with the LAPD.
For that alone, he should be in jail himself.
He testified truthfully which is the obligation of any expert witness in any case and can get you thrown in jail if you do not.
That contradicts what you posted earlier.
Sounds like you are back peddling.
Yes - it was jury nullification.
But your buddy Lee doesn't get off that easy.
You said this:
Dr. Lee wanted to expose the LAPD procedures in an attempt to change them.
And this....
when Lee was asked by the defense to refute the prosecutions evidence, Lee asked for a much higher fee then he would normally charge 10 times more IIFC. He flat out told the defense that OJ was guilty, but because of mistakes made at the scene during collection and at the LA lab, he could bring in reasonable doubt.
I believe you. Lee wasn't walking dangerously close to the edge - he jumped off the cliff.
Both you and I know he had the potential to alter the outcome, not matter how wacky that jury was. You yourself said hindsight is 20/20.
How dare he play games while the trial was going on.
Some friend you got there.
Jury nullification is a legimate form of citizen protection from bad laws.
Amen.
I trust the common sense of the American people far more then the 'smart' elites.
The reason why he’ll lose 50 lbs. in the first few months is because of a couple of reasons. First, they starve guys in prison, with what they feed them. (Don’t assume I think it’s inhumane - I’m just stating facts.) There are only two ways guys can keep up their health inside, without getting sick, or losing tons of weight.
First is they have to work out regularly (run the track on the yard, lift weights, etc.) And second, they have to have family/friends putting lots of extra $$$ on their books for commissary, so they can purchase extra food. Guys can’t work out without extra protein & carbs — more than what they feed them in chow. While OJ obviously will always have plenty of extra $$$ placed on his books (by the girlfriend and/or his family), he is so out of shape (bad knees, arthritis, etc.) that he will go downhill fast inside prison.
It will take several months to get him mainlined and settled into the facility he will stay at. During the transition time (called “reception”), he’ll be locked down most days with little “yard time”, and little opportunity to purchase any extra food. They have 15 minutes to suck down each meal, and he won’t want to eat much at first, due to shock and depression and anxiety of his surroundings.
All that together, will result in dramatic physical changes for him that will have a permanent, long-term effect on his health.
As for suicide concerns, I don’t think that will be an issue for him for many years down the road. Because of his ego and self-absortion, the hope of winning an appeal will keep him going emotionally. Remember he also did about 18 months in county jail awaiting trial back in 1993-1994. He thinks he can ‘do the time’ the same way now — only he has no idea what’s in store — how bad prison is compared to jail — and how inmates will treat him for getting away with double homicide the first time.
Everything will be different this time. And I DO know what I’m talking about — in terms of personal experience with a loved one on the inside.
That wasn't his property, it was the Goldman's, and he was hiding it from them.
At least Barry Scheck has been doing “God’s work” since OJ’s first trial — with starting The Innocence Project — and working to get the truly innnocent out of prison.
He’s using his life for good and godliness, as far as I’m concerned. His efforts are giving hope to many who have been wrongfully convicted. God bless him for that.
“At least Barry Scheck has been doing Gods work since OJs first trial with starting The Innocence Project...”
BULLCRAP!
They all say they’re innocent.
Despicable.
yep
SAYING you’re innocent and having your conviction overturned because you ARE innocent are two different things. Even YOU know that. When DNA wasn’t around to prove someone’s innocence, and technology available today can do it, then working to get the innocent out of prison is what should happen. It isn’t grace — it’s justice.
I realize it’s difficult to understand compassion and have mercy for someone who has a criminal history, unless you KNOW someone like that — unless you LOVE someone and KNOW someone who has experienced the devastation of being wrongfully convicted — or who has served their time and is working hard to start a new life after paying for their crimes. Hopefully you never will....
He deserves the death penalty.
They should make sure he has a belt while in jail
Karma?
I’ll go with the currently unhip hand of God.
I said to wife, that is the guy that got OJ off and now he is suppose to helping law enforcement!
He knew his reputation was forever destroyed.
As usual, if the name O.J. or Paris or such is in the headline - FREEPERS weigh in by the hundreds.
Here’s an idea. Why don’t we get as enthused about the issues we have a chance to weigh in on and be heard on today that may save our very freedoms?
How about going to this thread and looking at posts #20, 28 and 29? I guarantee these issues are more important to out lives than anything O.J. (FR used to stand for more important issues.)

He's a famous celebrity...they'll treat him like a hero and give him all the narcisstic supply he wants.
All lot of those men are in there for murder. It's no big deal to them.
Yep - 838 and counting posts on O.J. - but on issues where our very Country and personal freedom is on the line - 29.
Has FR degenerated into little more than a venue for nattering nabobs?
