I think the jury got the report to the judge sometime before 10pm. The attorneys and defendants were then alerted to come to the courtroom. That apparently took awhile.

"jury nullification", which was the ONLY reason O.J. was still walking the streets these past 13 years.

I don't know if it would have made a difference but it is clear that the authorities screwed up in a number of ways in connection with the murder case.

Obama's pardoning power under the Constitution would not apply to O.J.'s crime--it wasn't an offense against the United States. Not that the wording of the Constitution has much meaning any more for Democrats. The governor of Nevada is a Republican so he's not likely to issue a pardon.

The conviction means one less vote for Obama in Florida.

If you would look at the charges, there are more than enough things there that add up to life in prison.

He didn’t just steal stuff. Of course that wouldn’t result in life in prison.

There are tons of laws he broke, not just the theft part, so I have no problem with the adding of charges.......if the jury did a realistic evaluation of the case instead of just trying to “get” him.

Still, it feels great.

“This really was a bunch of BS charges & I do think it was a set-up, they are just making up for the “Not guilty” in the murder case!”

I hope you are right. Doing life in the joint for “BS charges” on which you “set-up” must be infinitely more painful that doing time for something for which you are truly guilty. Happy days are here again.

His only hope is appeal. I would not be surprised to see him granted a new trial because the evidence was thin.<<<<<<

The evidence was not thin. There was more evidence in this case, as in his L.A. case, than most other cases of the same type. I’ve dealt with thousands of cases over the years where those convicted could say they had a perfectly innocent reason for doing what they did. It doesn’t matter if the goods were stolen from them on the street yesterday, they can’t just round up a group of armed thugs and forcibly detain and threaten people to get them back. OJ doesn’t get a pass because he’s famous, at least not this time.

There is no such thing as a “state jail” my friend. Jails are counties and cities — state correctional facilities are called “prisons”. And yes, you ARE correct that federal prisons are better than state prisons.

It will be hell every day, where he is going. Nothing like jails or feds. I assume he will be put into a cell, instead of a dormitory, due to his notarity. Although cells offer more privacy, they are psychological torture, with how small they are (living in a closet) and how a cellmate will certainly be required, as no one gets a private cell, unless you’re in solitary confinement (ad seg).

Trust me — he’ll lose 50 pounds the first six months alone. And he will age three times faster in every way.

I do wish you Godspeed, Orenthal James. Perhaps in prison you might find the peace with God you’ve never had.

Actually, this is what we are up against:

The reaction was similar at my place of employment as well. I thought it was completely disgraceful, but today I’m glad to see justice is being served in some way, as happened with Al Capone (they got him for tax evasion, not murder).

b.hussein will ignore the Constitution so still a chance the "juice will be loose".

KARMA is paying a visit to OJ. Whatever sentence he receives or serves is still far more fair than the sentences he imposed on Nicole and Ron.

“Will Snobami come to OJ’s rescue and free him in 2009?”

I wouldn’t bet against it, along with restoring parole to the Federal system, eliminating mandatory minimum sentencing, eliminating life without parole, forbidding minors to be charged as adults, and eliminating the death penalty.
AFAIK no MSM type has ever grilled Osamabama on the crime issue, but one of his mentors (Bill Ayres, IIRC) is against the entire concept of imprisonment. Osamabama is more dangerous than anyone can imagine!

It's my opinion that this verdict comes at a very favorable time for us. Right now, his shysters are arguing that the all-white jury was not "fair". If the militants pick up on this, they will be trumpeting the exact opposite of Barry's BS message to guilty-feeling white people : "Vote for me, if you want black people to forgive you for the past."

I can only hope that the cries from Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are raised loudly to let these simple minded people know that a vote for Zero is not going to make anything better. Nothing short of reparations is going to mollify these people. And we're talking about amounts that make the bailout seem like chump change.

I fully understand how you feel about that but let me tell you, there were screw ups, and I’m not talking contamination of blood evidence and the crap the defense threw out at trial. That was television drama BS at its best.

On the other hand, truth be told, if Dr. Lee had testified for the prosecution as Dr. Michael Badin did, OJ was walking on those charges.

Dr. Lee wanted to expose the LAPD procedures in an attempt to change them.

I told him how I felt and the man had the ethics to agree with me.

He’s a great teacher and criminologist, I will give him that.
