It's been one of the most persistent rumors on the internet since John McCain smartly snuffed Barack Obama's convention afterglow by doing what the Democrat considered and rejected: naming a woman as his vice presidential partner.

Within 10 hours of Obama's Greek-columned stadium speech in Denver, McCain shocked most of the political world by naming Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, as his vice presidential running matThe current 2008 Democratic ticket of Delaware Senator Joe Biden and Illinois Senator Barack Obamae.

I find it fascinating that although you see numerous favorable articles on Obama, a lead in the polls, etc..., there seems to be something that the Dems in their party know, but not making public. I think it is that his internal polls show him losing in the states that Bush took and needing to defend states that Kerry won handily. If everything was going so well you wouldn't see these journalists(Dem apologists) writing these kinds of articles all the time.

is there one deadline or fifty for this happening legally and what is it or are they?

Early voting started on Sept 22ond in Georgia, there are probably more states where voting has already started. What are these people to do, vote over?

“there seems to be something that the Dems in their party know, but not making public.”

agree totally. my hunch is that it has to do with three things:

1) the hillary supporters. I don’t have hard facts but if more of her big supporters like Lynn Forester de Rothschild are willing to come out publicly for McCain, that could translate into possibly 2-4 million (just guessing) votes going McCain’s way

2) the Catholic vote - Unlike Kerry, Obama’s going to have a harder time with this group. Hopefully many of them will see the video at http://www.catholicvote.com

3) October surprise - not sure if it will be related to Rev Wright, Michelle Obama, or more of Obama’s own words about “whites” (see sample video here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lI77cU3jsFs )

these are just hunches though

At this point I would ask for the GOP to replace McCain with Hillary - at least she would fight back against the Messiah. Plus, she would most likely win!

Speaking of Obama’s birth certificate, I saw a thread early this morning about the chosen one being an Indonesian citizen. Did anyone see it or know what happened to it? It was in breaking in capital letters.

Agreed. Everything McCain or Palin do gets spun into a front page hit job. Obama could walk out right now and declare himself a socialist muslim who hates America and the press would either not report it or say that we are taking his “gaffe” out of context.

On the link Obamacrimes there was a post referencing that the media have a lot on Obama and that after the election it will be made known.....that it will probably result in his going to prison. The media are holding onto this because it will be a much bigger story if he is elected. Combine that with this rumor that Hillary will take Biden’s place....bingo....Hillary will move into the Presidency...I JUST LOVE GOSSIP AND CONSPIRACY THEORIES!

Watching Bill’s antics generally gives way to clues to what Hillary is up to. I think she is hoping McCain wins so she can run in 2012 on the “I Told You So Express”

Or, they're banking on 0bama winning, but being so horribly inept as a Chief Executive that the 2012 Convention will be reminiscent of the 1980 Convention - only this time, instead of Teddy challenging the incumbent's nomination, it will be Hillary.

You’re quite possibly right. In this environment, can any candidate get anything done. Sometimes I think Washington so insulates any President to the point they truly lose touch with what normal people do. The games in DC get so rampant they lose the big picture. Most Americans want a safe, secure country, the ability to get and keep a job and just a chance for a good life. Somehow that’s gotten lost with all the special interests. Personally I’m for throw all the bums out and start over. But I wouldn’t trust any Clinton any further than you could throw them and Socialist Obama even less. Not sure about McCain either.

Anybody who thinks Hillary’s ego would let her play second fiddle to Joe Biden is nuts.

The real birth certificate won't change a bloody thing. The people it matters to weren't voting for him anyway. To most libs, the citizenship requirement is some quaint throwback to yesteryear, like freedom of speech and the right to bear arms. They're modern. They're progressive. They're for change.

If anything, 0bama's status as a Kenyan/Indonesian citizen will enhance his desireability. Especially among the illegal alien vote.

He waited this long to address the citizenship issue on his website and by hinting at it in the debate because at this point it's way too late to swap him w Hillary. Don't worry, the new constutution he drafts will get rid of that pesky requirement once and for all.

Has any thought that Opossum might pick Pelosi rather than Hillary?

I think that if Biden steps down, it will be after (if) they are in office.
