Please do not support the bail out of any company with our money. Cut all taxes for companys and let this work out. Thanks,
Robert
My rep is Duncan Hunter.
No need to email him! LOL
Wish you all were so lucky.
here’s the thing guys
GET USED TO IT IT WILL PASS, WE DONT HAVE THE MAJORITY
now that it does passes (w/ some things such as ACORN help cut off), it will allow mccain to attack the dems w/o looking partisan AND it will stop the panic 24/7 news cycle of the last 2 weeks that had obama surging
Problem is: WILL McCain attack them?
And, even if he does, will he pound home the real cause of the crisis? People still don't understand how Fannie/Freddie led to this crisis. They attribute it to Wall Street "greed".
But, banks made these sub-prime loans because F/F were standing right behind them saying:
"Go ahead with that risky minority loan. We'll buy it from you immediately. You'll have your capital back. You can keep the high transaction fees...and we won't accuse you of racism!".Or will McCain continue to simply attack earmarks? He says as president he'll "name names and make them famous". Will he do that in this case? Chris Dodd? Obama's F/F campaign contributions? How many will McCain name? We'll see.
well im hoping he attacks
The most depressing thing is that I support the bill in its current form.
But the key word is “current”. If Obama is elected there is nothing to stop him, Congress and his new Treasury Secretary from “improving” the bill. In coordination with Treasury, the new oversight committees will identify selected outrages showing that minorities and credit-challenged borrowers are being “discriminated against”. They’ll resurrect their 1980’s red lining campaign. And — voila! — there will be a need for ACORN-like groups to step in as referees. (They’ll create another ACORN with some attractive name like “Homeowner Protection Action Group”. But ACORN will be behind it.)
It’s so obvious. Why would anyone think the pols in Congress would be able to keep their sticky fingers off such a huge pot of money? They can’t and they won’t.
