Tokyo just barely holding water, that is, very gently shifting back and forth to about 20 to 40 points above close from Friday. not a disaster but not a rally either...very tentative, wait and see attitude it seems. now
11923.86 at 9:19 a.m. Tokyo, 8:19 p.m. New York
dollar just BARELY stronger from last week close, by maybe 0.94. (106.2 yen to dollar).

Your #22 is a good sign. Thanks.
I expect the same thing here tomorrow.
The big deal is no panic. But then again we have Sunday night football and nobody is paying attention.

I am really starting to wonder since those that have read the bill say it includes ACORN, but the negotiators reportedly said specifically it didn’t. Seems like something is amiss.

now moving into even more positive territory, probably now that they know the socialist “fix” is in.... Tokyo..up 124 points to 12,017.64 9:35 a.m..... yes it will be a long day. Tokyo has been up for 35 minutes only. There could be a downward spiral on news of anything.

I pitty you being a raiders fan. Not much though. I'm a Steelers fan and we don't have much compassion for the raiders.
I don't know if you people over the pond somewhere get the scores. Early Chicago Bears 7 - Eagles just scored 7. Still first quarter.

Seems like something is amiss. I think some b*ll squeezing was going on.

very gently shifting back and forth to about 20 to 40 points above close from Friday. not a disaster but not a rally either...very tentativeThe Australian market has opened exactly the same. Many stocks down, but very slightly. Some mild rises in oil and gold shares.
The weather is cool and cloudy in Sydney. It has been a cold Sept, no doubt due to global warming.

Didnt that guy in the wheelchair say that nothing happens by accident in politics? I don't know your reference. It isn't Barbara Jordan (I was a BIG fan of hers). Could be Larry the meatgrinder Flynt. Or the guy in Missouri that Joe Biden asked to stand up! Help me here.
