Vanity sort of :Canadian citizen here. My son just graduated from business school McGill University ...His take on it...The American public is going to pick up the tab for all foreign banks that engaged in these risky practices.NOT FAIR.

The US is now the world police force, banker, food bank, health care center and dasha on the hill....and make the folks earning under $250K but over the welfare/poverty line pay for it!

Loot the US for the gipper and all that.

There's not enough money in the world to bail out the derivative mess. The “bailout” is at one and the same time, too little and too much.

It's too little to achieve it's goals and too much for the taxpayers to carry.

It's going to get strange. Our best hope is that much of this is a dem stunt... October surprise - and that HUD had been letting squatters sit in their homes until close to the election.
