The Republican Party is dead. Buried. Disintegrated to dust.

Hope somebody will save this crap from her mouth. This is not over. Banks and loan companies will fail. Credit Unions offer much more at better service than banks and I predict that in 5 or less years banks will pitch a bitch again and need bailouts. The RATS are destroying America financial institutions just with one small piece of the market - bad home loans.

“and keep saying this is “the administration’s bill”. “

they are? That’s interesting.

That’s the ploy they played toward the end of the Comprehensive Immigration Reform dog and pony show.

There are many similarities with the Imm. show and the current one. Speed, sending Cheney, failed, Bush going on TV, failed, meeting with Dems and demonization of “House Republicans”, Pelosi outright saying she won’t pass this without 100 Repub votes for political CYA. Only thing not here again is Bush calling the public racist for not supporting his bill.

This has got to be the lowest point in American history!
We have allowed the very criminals who caused this calamity to draft a rescue bill to save America. I AM TRULEY SICK TO MY STOMACH!
The MAVERICK, was not!

“MSM all saying this is a good bill.”

Obama approved.

The MSM will never criticize a bill wrapped so tightly in the Dem brand name.

In 1999 the Glass-Steagle Act was repealed by Congress and signed by Pres. Clinton.
In 2001 Alan Greenspan began lowering interest rates for too long a time.
In 2003 the REPUBLICANS in House passed a bill to put back the REGULATIONS REPEALED IN 1999, and it passed the House, but in Senate it got only promised 60 votes, and never made it to Senate Floor.
In 2004 five firms went to SEC (Christopher Cox?) and asked for an EXEMPTION from the RESERVE the banks were supposed to keep on loans, and wanted it changed to $40 dollars could be loaned for every $1 in Reserve...and got it. Those banks were Bear Stearns, Lehman, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanly and Goldman Sachs (where Paulson was from 1999-2005).
Banks and mortgage companies allowed people who really didn’t qualify to borrow home loans, and got sub primes, arms, balloons and things they didn’t understand.
5. THE DEMS PELOSI, FRANK, DODD, AND REID and other DEMS stood firm and DEMANDED that Freddi Mac and Fannie Mae loan to poor people to get homes...and now FREDDI AND FANNIE are under investigation for fraud. The poor people would have been better if they had stayed out of their lives.
President BUSH said many times in last 4-5 years that there needed to be more regulation and that there were changes that were needed in the financial system...but Congress has to do that!

Well, up to very recently the Admin has been telling us that the economy is strong and all is well.

Surely they weren’t “being less than candid”?

BTW, thanks Bush/Paulson for the nice unconstitutional screw job and getting to buy the worst performing investments of Wall Street.

WORST. MOST CORRUPT. MOST INCOMPETENT. CONGRESS. IN U.S. HISTORY.

Yet, they'll ALL be re-elected.

The next 2-4 years are going to be very difficult for the Republic. Politically, the conservative movement and GOP fortunes would be greatly enhanced if BO were to win the presidency.

The problem is that we cannot afford this as a free nation. At minimum, we have to consider the war on terror and the federal courts. BO would be disastrous on both.

When people are afraid, they tend not to make good decisions, or alternatively, they tend to trust others make decisions for them regardless of whether their trust is justified.

Lurch Kerry is on Fox now. He’s definitely had a LOT of cosmetic surgery done recently. We’re probably paying for that too.

He’s probably talking about the Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999. Which both Democrats and Republicans can be blamed for.

I'd like to remind all of you who want to lynch the Republicans that a lot of you made sure they would become the minority in 2006.

Pelosi and co. seem oddly sour and unhappy

I agree. Pelosi's so sour that her lips are sticking to her teeth.

Yea, I just about lost it when I saw Pelosi up there lying through her teeth. It us unbelieveable in this day and age when everything you have every said or done is on the public record. We have video and audio and transcripts of the democrats saying there is NO financial crisis. 4 years ago, they said Bush and McCain were just unnecessarily alarming the American public.

McCain introduced reform legislation in 2005 and the Dems BLOCKED it.

Now they stand up there and act they the Bush administration was responsible and they saved the day.

McCain and the House republicans are to be commended for stopping the Pelosi/Reid/Frank train wreck last Thursday. This bill is still not great, but McCain’s leadership got a better overall bill.

Get the stupid thing signed and lets move on. Then McCain and the democrats have got to get out in front of this thing. McCain should buy up 30 minutes of national air time to explain what the democrats did the last 8 years or so to get us into this mess. Intersperse with actual video of the dems saying there is no issue. Tel the American people the truth.

How can the democrats just lie so brazenly?

I get so pi**** about these talking points the dem’s always spew. Kerry has preached the same silly comments as I heard all day. Do any of these folks have an original idea.

Can someone tell me why Senator Graham is so poorly representing our side? We need to get an articulate spokesperson to speak for us. Learch just doesn't shut up and Graham can't even keep up with this goof.

If I were a Republican who worked on the bailout, I’d be in a hole somewhere .... and never come out! Let them take the limelight on this one.
