This is one big circle-jerk and attack on capitalism. Really pisses me off.

Pubs should just vote NO!
To: GloriaJane
And she expects Republicans to vote for this after she lied and blamed everything on them and Bush? What a joke that dodd & barney are there as part of the solution when they should have been made to resign as part of the deal.

To: pabianice
If the Rs aren't going to get any credit (blame?) then they shouldn't support it. All they could do was try to get the worst of the bill removed, the Ds can pass it in the House without any help.
Of course the Senate is another matter. And not all Ds support the bill.
I wrote to my D congressthing but I doubt he'll vote for it anyway. He's in an R leaning district and may only serve 1 term if the republicans here return to their senses after throwing a temper tantrum in '06.

I guess Barny Frank is planning to step down from his chair and committee? After all, he just said next year they are going to get to the root of the problem. How can ANYONE watch Dodd and Frank without shooting out their TV the way I’m about to?

“So what will the Republicans do to counter this?”
Sadly nothing. And even if they did try to hold a press conference to counterattack these lies, the MSM wouldn’t cover it.

This is what ALWAYS happens to the Republicans.
The Rats come out and are not afraid to point fingers and blame, and the MSM immediately picks up their drumbeat. Unregulated markets, greedy Wall Street, etc. If this narrative prevails, Rats may well win both the presidential and congressional elections.
The Republicans always play soft in the spirit of “bipartisanship.”
The Republicans need to POINT FINGERS and lay this MESS around the necks of Dodd, Frank, Carter, Clinton and all of the other corrupt politicians responsible, even if they are all their “good buddies” from rubbing shoulders in Congress.
To: mrs9x
The exact scumbags that caused this mess are now taking credit for solving it. I want to see DODD, FRANK, PELOSI, et al., on a perp walk immediately.

Your poor tv...and ours too...they can’t hep it if the likes of Palooza and gang are on it...we know they would much rather see Newt or Michael Steel etc
To: Abbeville Conservative
Good. Then let the Democrats all vote for it and the Republicans against it. Let the chips fall where they may. That us what I hope happens. Unlikely though, unless Republicans come to realize that they will get wiped out at the polls by voting to approve a Democrat plan, written by Democrats, to "save" the country from a problem that was created by Democrats.
I would rather see the Dow Jones Industrial Average drop 50% than vote for national socialism.

As the majority party in both chambers, their lack of courtesy to GOP leaders is not only shameful, they are setting up thei Blue Dogs for disaster.
Let them pass this without a single Republican vote.

I do not see why every Republican in the house and senate doesn't stand up and say in one voice that this IS the fault of the Democrats. The evidence is overwhelming. The Democrats screwed it up.

Wow the absolute in your face lies! Oh how proud of themselves they are. Harry Reid Harry Reid. What a bunch of suck-ups. Suckling on each other like pigs on a teet. What do these people see when they look in the mirror. Do they actually think America is buying this load of BS?
Pelosi just said we can view all the details at financialservices.house.gov. NOT so. I can't pull it up.
