Pelosi says Sen Dodd will hold hearings before the end of the year to find out how they got in this mess.I say the hearings will start after the election.
Sorry for the late delay...I haven’t been in the house lately. Went to my local MCCAIN/PALIN office and got some bumper stickers/t-shirts. :)

Senator Dodd will hold the hearings? Senator Dodd should be the subject of the hearings. How are Republicans letting them get away with this? It seems that we the people can’t do a damn thing about any of this.

I just returned from a R-rally featuring Senator Jeff Sessions.
His last statement was that the rally had been held today because he wouldn’t be available tomorrow - there is going to be a huge fight over this bill in the Senate!
Moments ago, Pelosi said “the bill is frozen...this is the bill that we’re presenting.”
The ACORN crap stays.
Senator Sessions also said that there was still ACORN money in the bill and that Senator McCain would not support it until he had read the entire bill -— which does not appear to exist as one has seen the bill!
He also said that Senator McCain is one of the few who actually reads all of the bills.

So let me make sure I got this right. Dodd is the subject of an investigation by his own home state’s newspaper. The television media gives him face time but asks not one question about his sweetheart deals with Countrywide? This is surreal. Republicans should be demanding his resigation just like the rats did with Lott and other Republicans.

(1) DEPOSITS.—Not less than 20 percent of any profit realized on the sale of each troubled asset purchased under this Act shall be deposited as provided in paragraph (2).
(2) USE OF DEPOSITS.—Of the amount referred to in paragraph (1)—
(A) 65 percent shall be deposited into the Housing Trust Fund established under section 1338 of the Federal Housing Enterprises Regulatory Reform Act of 1992 (12 U.S.C. 4568); and
(B) 35 percent shall be deposited into the Capital Magnet Fund established under section 1339 of that Act (12 U.S.C. 4569).

He would not lose the election on purpose. He IS putting the country first and I doubt he’d gamble this big without really feeling it will benefit him and the GOP in the end.”
I agree. It is very difficult to reconcile that 70 percent of Americans are against it, and yet Obama is leading in the Polls. I think the polls are propogandized and should be ignored. Just watch what McCain is doing because he is doing what his internal polls are confirming.
