From what I see, McCain is clearly winning on substance. Obama is holding his own on style, and is being helped along by a sympathetic moderator.

That is exactly what I see, and if McCain doesn't find something that really trounces Obama and makes him fall on his face, you know the media will say Obama won this. There is nothing of substance that Obama is saying. But he keeps repeating his talking points. And so to his hordes of fans, who can't think for themselves, that is all that matters. They don't have the attention span to look more deeply than the repeated comments he has beeen making for months.

McCain is not going to change the Obamabots. This debate is for the 20% who have not finalized their thoughts. For them McCain's demeanor, in contrast to the haloed one, and McCain's ease at handling the topics in a substantive way may make the difference on Nov. 4.
