Senator McCain needs to recognize that he is now the leader of his party, and the leader of half of America. He can get a good bill done tonight by taking it to the people. He’s the leader of the Republican party, and they are represented by the Republicans in the House of Representatives. He must lead their charge.
Bush is no longer the GOP leader. It is time to cut him loose.
Let 0bama and Pelosi and Reid and Frank and Schumer have him.
Let Bush and his new Democrat buddies throw themselves the biggest $700 billion party ever. But don’t expect McCain or the House Republicans to attend.
