He hasn't yet and it will either be a campaign disaster or a real coup. Obama & Co. are laying groundwork if economy tanks because of GOP shuffling their feet and McCain's interference, they only have themselves to blame.
Should there be a debate tonight, McCain must make clear the details of the proposal, emphasizing ACORN getting 20%, etc., and that it was Harry Reid who said they needed McCain to get his side to fall into line and thus his trip to DC. He should also mention his sounding the alarm in 2005 and that both Barney Frank and Schumer cautioned not to be alarmed as all was well with FM/FM.
BTW did anyone hear Boxer on MSNBC state that McCain, part of the Keating Five , is the last person who should be directing her vote. It was bound to come up but she did it in a malicious, catty way feigning apology for having to bring it up.

LOL. They probably hated having to wait the entire weekend to tell us that McCain looked old and grumpy (he didn’t) and that Obama won the debate.
WaPo had a piece over the weekend that blamed McCain for pouring gasoline on the fire (Chuck U called it pouring flames on the fire, kind of messing up the DNC line).
Buchanan says nonsense. He prevented it from being even a worse deal than it is.

good morning everyone! I appreciate the highlights.
I wish there was (and this is the closest) ONE thread at FR where lightliights of news.. maybe a paragraph or two & link to either & / or source was put. For some of us this would be a god send here. I hate to take (and rarely do) the time to go thru all the articles at breaking news. Skim thread titles etc.
More or less a news clearing house. The couple forums I try to read are the Water Cooler & the Live Desk both with decent coverage
At other forums I love to follow this type of thread - some better than others. Minimal whining, mostly reporting. Wine-ing however is good.(lol)
The thread would run a calendar week. Maybe Monday thru Saturday (the Sunday talk show thread then fills in for one day)
Maybe NewsAtAGlance & Daily Talk Show High Lights.. or something similar ( I would be glad to work up a graphic)
But regardless, this is a great thread & I appreciate you all putting in what you know & have found for us to all “LEARN”..
