Yep, Ike did all that in KY. As many as 300,000 people lost power. Cel phones and internet down, too.
We had the perfect wind storm.
IKE came up the Mississippi and Ohio rivers (typical for a gulf Hurricane)..The jet stream dipped way south the fronts met right over us.
We had sustained winds of 50 mph for 4 hrs and gusts to 81 mph.
Oh yea it was bad there and also here in Ohio. My youngest sister just got electic back 2 days ago. We were down for about 12 hours but being in the city it came back fairly quick. Lots of trees down everywhere.
