McCain just lost my vote when he said that Andrew Cuomo would be a good choice for SEC chairman, is he nuts?

Easy now. Let them think that. There are thousands of vote to be had with this statement. Just like what he did with his VP choice, when it’s time, he’ll do the right thing.

You're thinking Obama would pick someone more conservative?

Yes, he's nuts. Like Bush, he thinks reaching across the aisle will curry favor with democrats and voters. Like Bush, he is wrong.

Listening to John Batchelor on WABC and John Fund from the WSJ. The Paulson bailout bill has language that is staggering; along the lines of: "Decisions made under this bill are non-reviewable by any entity." This would make the secretary of the Treasury the most powerful man in government with respect to finance. They also question whether we are actually in as bad an economic crisis as everyone is saying. Finally, they say this helps Obama in the short term as McCain went through the week flailing around on the issue.

What is really disturbing is the language in the proposed fix that gives too much power to the SecTreas. Mark Levin on Friday said government taking actions like this was socialism (something Obama no doubt will applaud).

Jaw drop here, too.

Ya know, if he was only a
a savvy poker player like W,
but I just don’t think he is.

I wish he’d surprise me .. just
a little.

Well, Palin was a shock .. but
he says such freakin’ freaky things
some times.

I didn’t hear that- was out of the room. Are you joking? McCain said Andrew Cuomo would be a good SEC chairman?
