McCain is doing two things here:
1. Calling out Obama on his corruption.
2. Being Mr. Fixit.
People want someone who SOLVES THEIR PROBLEMS.
Harry Truman did this in 1948. He challenged Tom Dewey and the Republican Congress to put up or shut up, and it won him the election.

People want someone who SOLVES THEIR PROBLEMS.I don't need the government to solve my problems. I need the government to solve THE GOVERNMENT's problems -- namely, a headlong rush into national insolvency as the burdens of the consumer and corporate welfare state came crashing down in the next 10-20 years, as they inevitably must.
