Obama mocks McCain in Nevada stops

(09-17) 18:57 PDT LAS VEGAS, (AP) -- Barack Obama sharpened his attacks on John McCain and mocked the Republican's recent calls for reform in two stops in Nevada on Wednesday after days of listening to nervous supporters fret about the Democrat's chances of taking the White House.

"Sen. McCain bragged about how as chairman of the Commerce Committee in the Senate, he had oversight of every part of the economy. Well, all I can say to Sen. McCain is, 'Nice job. Nice job,'" Obama said at a rally at a baseball stadium in Las Vegas. "Where is he getting these lines? The lobbyists running his campaign?"

Obama later added: "I'm not making this up, you can't make this up. It's like a 'Saturday Night Live' routine."

The feistier, more sarcastic tone came as worried Democrats urged Obama to get tougher and show more passion. Obama has tried to assure donors and voters that he's been schooled by Chicago politics.

"I'm skinny but I'm tough." he says.

In Elko, Obama tried to anticipate his critics and called on the crowd of about 1,500 to sharpen their elbows, too.

"I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face," he said.

"And if they tell you that, 'Well, we're not sure where he stands on guns.' I want you to say, 'He believes in the Second Amendment.' If they tell you, 'Well, he's going to raise your taxes,' you say, 'No, he's not, he's going lower them.' You are my ambassadors. You guys are the ones who can make the case."

So in other words, he's ordering his supporters to become even more obnoxious and belligerent, and to lie about his true position on the issues.

Mr. Biden seems conspicuously absent from Mr. Obama’s side lately.

McCain put himself in the corner a while back when he admitted the economy was not a strength. He will be hard pressed to remove that illusion.

Unfortunately for him[And US], the Economy could be the Issue for the election.

Barry just bit off more than he can chew. I haven't always agreed with John McCain, but to live through what he has, he's got to be one tough SOB. McCain is going to eat him up in the debates.

He is saying, “just a cult ain’t cutting it anymore”. He needs a bellicose cult of Kool*Aid drinkers and bull$h!t swallowers. He is saying, “You can’t make Chicken Salad out of Chicken $h!t, but get out there and make the sheep think Chicken Salad is what they are eating.”

“McCain is going to eat him up in the debates.”

Absolutely, and Hussein knows it. That’s why he has refused every request to debate McCain.

"Well, all I can say to Sen. McCain is, 'Nice job. Nice job." Obama

At least Senator McCain really is on the Commerce Committee!

We'd better elect Obama or suffer the consequences of the world's disapproval of our "racism," say the Leftist.

Really?

Where were they when black conservatives Blackwell, Swann, and Steele were the candidates for key offices? What if the black presidential candidate were conservative? The world would be opposed. Count on it.

Obama's self-delusion that he was a key part of legislation and Senate committee actions, that his life's most profound moment was deciding against the Iraq war -- when he was a state-level elected legislator -- are all way beyond American probity.

Then there is his call to spend the billions "wasted" in Iraq on America's needs -- all the while demanding that we give nearly a trillion dollars a year to other nations' poor!

The kicker for me was his efforts to get the cooperation of Iraqi officials to delay the withdrawal of U.S. troops. He wanted all the credit, say pundits.

Then there's his campaign's (no other word for it) Stalinist shenanigans to destroy the Palin family.

Barack Obama and his campaign are skid marks on Uncle Sam's shorts.

so where is Obama’s MBA? or maybe he was chairman of the commerce cmte? or had his own business? or ran a city or state...even a small town? No? Nothing.

Why should anyone think he has a clue about the economy?
