For a long time I’ve felt the Horn of Africa will be the end of all of us. I guess it’s only appropriate, since it’s where we all started.
And just what is the problem with fragmenting African “states” especially in Somalia which has not had any functioning state in decades, maybe in forever? A functioning state, especially one with some democratic characteristics, in a large otherwise stateless, lawless area ridden with tribal violence with has got to be superior to the condition of the historic and present Somalia.
