Palin's Fate: Death By A Thousand Cuts?

Despite her meteoric rise and popularity, could Sarah Palin's fate be equated to "Death by a thousand cuts"? In other words, could the constant daily barrage of of negative stories in the media and attacks by the Obama campaign induce, by their sheer volume and repetition, Palin fatigue? Is this possibly the strategy of the media: to cause those who might consider voting for her to decide it is just too much baggage? It may not matter that people believe the stories about Gov Palin or true or false, but simply that there is so much negative noise in the system that people grow weary of such a controversial figure and not want to endure what comes with it for the next four years.

Is this possibly the strategy of the media: to cause those who might consider voting for her to decide it is just too much baggage? That's been their obvious strategy from the very beginning. However, I'm not sure it will work for them.

Right now, this sounds like wishful thinking by the MSM.

It didn’t work when it was tried with Bill Clinton. His approval ratings kept going up. I don’t see it working with Governor Palin. Americans don’t seem to approve of “piling on.”

I think “Liberal fatigue” and “Media fatigue” will develop before any effect on Palin will set in.

Polls show a large majority believe the media is trying to destroy her. It’s going to take something real.

The opposite is happening. All the media attacks are doing is inoculating her and the more the MSM attacks, the more popular she gets. Normally, negative attacks will have a detrimental effect on a politician's standing but not this time. Sarah seems to have the same Teflon Coating Reagan had that frustrated the media so much.

Palin isn't running for President. She has so unnerved the lightweight Obama and his media puppetmasters that they have completely lost what little perspective they have had during this campaign.
It's a daily trainwreck watching these fools stumble and bumble.

If she fights, and we fight too, this could wind up being the MSM’s death by a thousand cuts. It’s up to all of us.

Every negative story increases Palin’s lead by 1%. The public is fed up with media bias and is reacting against it with increasing disdain.
