Today, The New York Times leads with a smear piece entitled, "Once Elected, Palin Hired Friends and Lashed Foes." Likewise, today's Washington Post competes in the ever-further-downward spiral with its own hit piece, "As Mayor of Wasilla, Palin Cut Own Duties, Left Trail of Bad Blood." Cronyism, lashing out, cutting personal duties and a trail of blood.
NRO cites Jen Rubin's criticism of the NYT's hatched job, finding that the facts hardly warrant the egregious language and condemnatory tone of the article. The Post article supplies even less substance - by it's rationale, every elected official who fills a cabinet with trusted allies is guilty of front-page worthy scandal.
It bears mentioning that the media have allotted absolutely no time to investigating the myriad "scandals" of Obama and Biden. If the Democratic pair were subjected to the same standard of scrutiny, the front pages of every newspaper in America would run for a week in order to capture their many scandals.
The media hates Sarah Palin. They despise her for routing radical feminism, they curse her for boosting McCain in the polls and they condescend her for the conservatism she refuses to remit. They are willing to shamelessly degrade themselves without limit in order to lend support to the Democratic ticket. Today's leading Washington Post article on Obama, even as he rolls out ads which patently lie about McCain, is titled, "Obama Points to the Issues: Ignore Attacks, Democrat Implores."

The media is trying to shove Obama down our throats, even if we choke to death.
It’s obvious that the leftist media is using all its resources to try to destroy Sarah Palin. That alone is enough to get me to go out and vote for her.
Go Sarah!!!
Thanks for posting that picture.
It must be a candidate to be “Picture of the Year”.
Everytime I see it, my eyes water.
We already know how well she shoots.
I just adore that photo. It brings me back to when my babies were, well, babies, and how protective I was. I remember that soft, sweet head (and that wonderful baby smell—oooh!)against my cheek.
It really makes me melt.
See my post 65. I think it is representative of what the left is tangling with. And they are not going to win. Sarah wont let them win...America wont let them win.
“I liked the way the Friends of the Library told the MSM to (in effect) kiss off.”
Too bad everyone up there isn’t of the same mind. After having lived there for 20 years, and knowing the mindset of Alaskans, I can’t believe a few of the MSM haven’t mysteriously disappeared.
Does anyone remember that rumplemintz(?) vodka print ad from the ‘70s with the viking-looking lady riding a polar bear? Someone should photoshop Gov. Palin’s head onto the warrior woman and have the media in the bear’s teeth.
Nice!
If it is found that she was born in Kenya, will she allowed to hold office? Need I ask?
You mostly right, but that's the second thing you learn.
The first thing you learn is how to calculate your commissions.
;-)
It’s a media riot, in the same way that Chicago 1968 was a police riot.
To understand the kind of media we have today, it would do no good to read Walter Lipmann or any conventional writing on journalism. Ortega Y Gasset or Hannah Arendt (especially the Origins of Totalitarianism)explain the current American media much better.
Thanks for bringing up the Clinton scandals. Lest we forget.
You’ll see the link in Cementjungle’s post # 8 (City of Wasilla documents) — there’s a list of documents; one of them is from the Friends of the Library.
I meant to copy you on #76.
The cripple souls of the Goebbels Press Ministry are chewing their arms off.Their Glorious Community Uberschmuck proclaims "my Muslim faith"--
Eine Kleine Herr Plug demands paraplegics rise and walk, having damned Sarah Palin for giving birth--
Charlie The Pillsbury Colostomy Bag gets the Bush Doctrine wrong--
Charles Krauthammer enumerates the four iterations; Norman Podhoretz devotes an entire chapter--
Charlie missed that little "democracy" thing--the very consistent thread with Wilson, with FDR, with Truman, with JFK, with Reagan--we're spreading freedom here, Charlie, the very water to melt your wiccan soullessness.
Ultimately all the shrieking fairies of the Ministry of Impotent Wheeze backlight the virtue of our Sarah.
While the ghosts of John Belluci and Chris Farley strive in vain to call back the last act of Stewart Saves his Party--
Alas, Babble On.
There's a protectiveness about it, a determination...and a resolute one at that...almost daring the enemy to try and interfere.
We already know how well she shoots.

Agree, agree & agree!!! And now my eyes are watering!!!
Exactly. How dare we like some one they did not anoint.
