Well we don’t even know Sarah Palin’s stance on the immigration issue at all and saying nothing sure as hell won’t win my vote.

Oh God this is getting painful...

Immigration isn’t going to define the election.

It is STILL a very important issue, one that conservatives still have on their minds despite McCain choosing Palin. You can bet that if McCain starts pushing "comprehensive immigration reform" *Amnesty cough* we will turn on him real quick, and Palin too if she starts supporting it.

I will enthusiastically vote for McCain-Palin but that doesn't mean my principles are going to go out the window.

This thread really shows who the simple-minded dolts are. Supreme courts picks, setting up for 2012, control of congress, drilling and energy independance, War on Terror, A MARXIST AND HIS ILK NOT RUNNING THE COUNTRY, low taxes, and on and on, AND YET SOME WOULD GET STUPID!!!

So why is McCain the one bringing it up?

It's called divide and conquer politics. McCain has the base locked up now, so it's smart for him to peel away some undecided Hispanic voters. Keep in mind that Hispanics loathe Obama (blacks) and supported Hillary over him.

McCain's not going to push amnesty unless he wants to lose the sudden support he's gotten from conservatives over Palin. Think of all the money McCain has reeled in from the base. But for now let's worry about voting in McCain and then we can keep an eye out for any amnesty shenanigans later.

“Damn straight. It’s no-nonsense, rock-ribbed Conservatives like us who forced McCain to pick someone like Palin.”

Really? You forced McCain to pick Palin. Wow! You are awesome. Kinda sounds a little like the ‘we are the ones we’ve been waiting for.’ line.

You seem to be confusing speculation with fact.

That's my whole point. McCain's choice of Sarah Palin is what solidified the base and caused the money to start rolling in, not pandering for illegals' votes.

All this does is give Obama ammunition to point out that there's barely a centavo's worth of difference between his stance and McCain's. And Obama won't even have had to spend a plug nickel to get that message out.

This ad is not about immigrants, legal immigrants already have a path to citizenship. This ad is about legalizing ILLEGAL aliens!

The thing is, Obama is too stupid to even do that. You conveniently forget that no matter how moderate or how much Republicans compromise with the Democrats (as McCain did with Kennedy), they're still evil. Obama probably thinks McCain-Kennedy is too far to the right.

McCain is playing this perfectly. He's dividing the Obama campaign and splitting the Democrats. Hispanics DO NOT like Obama - they supported Hillary. Don't worry about amnesty it's not going to happen. Vote for McCain and we'll cross that bridge when it comes.

Not I. Us. You get high marks in reading comprehension skills in school?

Kinda sounds a little like the ‘we are the ones we’ve been waiting for.’ line.

You need to get your hearing checked.

You seem to be confusing speculation with fact

No confusion here, Bub. Confusion is the domain of moderates, pragmatists and people who are so desperate to be on the winning side of a political campaign that they are willing to let their candidate poke them in the eye and kick them in the groin and then why they get asked for their vote they say, "Gee. Well, yeah, I guess so. I guess it's better if someone from my own political party kicks me in the groin than someone from the other political party."

Morons. Enough of your Jim Jeffordses and Olympia Snowes and Arnold Schwarzeneggers.

The thing is, Obama is too stupid to even do that.

Aha! So, you acknowledge that it would be a smart thing for Obama to do even if he is too stupid to do it.

That's a dangerous risk to take. McCain's numbers have been going up and up WITHOUT pandering for illegals' votes.

Best remind him now. Remember, he almost switched to the Democratic party in 2004. He will be quite comfortable with a Democratic Congress and a centrist base.

It's nonsense to say we can't stand up to McCain without putting Obama in the White House. McCain shouldn't be taking our votes for granted.

Immigration is one of the top Conservative issues. He shouldn't be pandering like this.

Get what you want now or wait until 2012.

Every one of your posts has been a personal insult. People have good reason to dislike and mistrust McCain on this issue. You’re the (all the names you call them) for ever supporting this pandering and amnesty madness.

We’re doing our best to support this ticket to beat Obama. Your insults and McCains will turn us away. Is that your plan? It’s surely dawned on you by now McCain can’t win without us. You do him NO favors.

PLEASE stop using the terms “immigrant” and “immigration”
when you mean “illegal immigrant” and “illegal immigration.”

My wife is a solid conservative-voting immigrant and I’d appreciate it if you would get YOUR FOOT OFF HER NECK.

Thank you.

“This ad is not about immigrants, legal immigrants already have a path to citizenship. This ad is about legalizing ILLEGAL aliens!”

The same ones calling names on this thread are the same ones who have always supported amnesty. Don’t confuse ‘em with facts. They’re complicit with the media on this one. If they SAY it’s not an issue, then by GAWD, it’s not an issue!
What cracks me up most about this election is all the complaining we’re doing about the media bias toward Obama. You know that same media that we complained about the bias toward McCain in the primaries and they called us...the same names...idiots, etc. McCain got here appearing on the likes of the View, Sat night live. He and Ron Paul and Huck to some degree were the only ones ‘allowed’ on the shows that reach the average voter. What goes around seems to come around. Live by the media, die by the media. That’s the deal McCain made long ago, we’ll see if he survives his deal with the devil. I don’t know if Palin is that good.
