To see the results, click on Pennsylvania in his Fifty Sstate map.
It is likely voters but it’s also PA and Zogby. At least the trend is hopeful and I’ll cling to that for now.
OK .. but all I can say upon reading the headline is: WHOH!
McCain needs to go to the blue collars workers in PA, OH and MI with a strong economic plan. He needs to lay out a specific job growth agenda. He can win this.
Obama can not win without PA period. Barry is probably saying, “Man I picked a bad week to stop doing blow.”
Great results, but i don’t think Mac is up 5 points in PA. I’d say it’s neck and neck. But I definitly think McCain has got a great shot to carry the state. All the blue collar workers and small town floks there are turned off by Obama’s elitism. But there are too many leftist in Philadelphia and the surrounding area to off set their votes. Bush narrowly losthe state twice. Maybe Mac can be the guy pull the Republicans over the top there.

Is Zogby at all credible?
wow! without Pennsylvania BO is pretty much finished.
These are Internet polls. Zogby released a poll for North Carolina for this same time period that has Obama ahead. Garbage.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
If Obama doesn’t carry Pennsylvania, he’s got almost no chance of election. This Zogby poll is a “likely voter” poll, and is consistent with the “registered voter” polls that show Obama slightly ahead.
Not buying it - it’s Zogby.
PA for McCain would be a sign of an almost Reaganesque election landslide nationally.
Still, PA always seems to give us hope of turning red, but then inevitabley reverts back to its blue form on election day. Here’s hoping for a change.
Skepticism is warranted. However, these numbers are important because polls served to encourage or discourage. These recent polls, especially this one, is likely to send the left over the edge, more so than usual, if that’s possible. In their desparation, they will make mistakes.
It also helps to encourage the Republican base.
Agree. It’s the Zog special sauce, but so far this election season, he’s been kind of a leading indicator, not a lagger. So maybe he’s onto something. He was the only pollster on target in 1994, and was very accurate in 1996 . . . then went downhill. Maybe he’s rejuvenated himself.
If it’s true that Maryland & New Jersey are going to give their votes to the winner of the national popular vote we might be looking at 55 state landslide. I still don’t see Barry H. losing Hawaii and Illinois.
Still got debates to survive, but PA going to McCain is something I’ve never doubted. Too many older Dems here, and they’re very peeved at Obama. :)
It’s our blue-collar states that are dem controlled and highly taxed. And, doing poorly.
