State: Pennsylvania
Updated: 9/13/2008
Summary: McCain - 49.1% Obama - 44.3% Not Sure/Other - 6.6%
"This is a classic case of polling as a snapshot in time. We're turning Pennsylvania purple today, as McCain takes a small edge. But as in Ohio, we are watching this closely and things could change in this classically blue state."

Forget what you are hearing about NC< and VA and FL and OHIO being battleground states, EVERY ONE OF THEM will be solidly Republican by election day, if not LONG before.
Same with Indiana.
The states to watch or PA, MI and WI. Fauxbama cannot make up the loss of ANY of those states... if he loses ANY of them, he’s done... there is a very very very minor chance he could survive losing WI, but that would require holding IA, and picking up some proportional votes or something to cover the other 3... and while technically this may be possible its liklihood is somewhat less than a snowball in hells.
Also, keep an eye on WA and NH.. If NH goes R, theres another states worth of EC votes that Fauxbama must somehow make up, without many places to do it. WA, due to the theft of the governorship 4 years ago, has a very very good shot of flipping this time based on the outrage of the events there in 04, turnout for the guy who won, but was robbed will be HUGE, to ensure the dems and moveon can’t steal it again, and that turnout, and the outrage over 04 will spill up and downt he ticket.
THe important states to watch on election night (if Fauxbama hasn’t completely collapsed, and everyone knowing its over before it starts) are NH, if that goes R, Fauxbama is in BIG BIG TROUBLE. PA, MI and WI... Fauxbama MUST carry all of these to even remotely have a chance of winning, and He’s going to lose IMHO at least 2 of them.
The talk of VA, NC, OH, and FLA going Democratic is just that talk, its not going to happen. None of those states is going to flip dem with this schlub at the top of the ticket, and the Pelosi/Reid fiasco of the last 2 years is going to kill their controls on congress as well.
You can’t run “conservative democrats” to win the election and then force them to vote with you on radical liberal things the party wants and think they can go back to their districts and win re-election. A lot of those “conservative democrats” that won seats in ‘06 and handed the house to Pelosi, will wind up one termers.
We are looking at a complete routing of the democrats this campaign cycle, because of a few things, 1) the most unqualified and unprepared candidate EVER put up by a major party for president 2) the complete overplaying of the hand by Reid and Pelosi.
By the time Fauxbama realizes his campaign is hosed, and fires the idiots that are around him and brings in the experienced folks, it’ll be too late. In fact, its already too late.
I’ll go on record, that the election map will be very close to the 1988 Presidential Map. Exception is New Mexico which may go to Obama, but Washington and Oregon right now are withing the margin of error, so their outcomes will come down to recounts. LANDSLIDE

Either way, Obama is going to have to spend time and money trying to win a state he should have had in the bag.
The Dems will try to use Palin to alienate Catholics and it will backfire in their faces big time like everything else they’ve done. Biden, Pelosi, Kennedy, et al. are an embarrassment to the Church. There’s also the matter of Obama’s “former” spiritual advisor. Sorry, Zerobama. The primaries are over. Welcome to the real world.
we can not be complacent....
people please....donate to something....volunteer....
Maybe not, this time around.
Bear in mind:
Maybe Trib can add to this?
Exactly. The GOP in PA has turned away volunteers willing to brave the Philly thugs and videotape the election shenanigans.
Nutter won in Philly in a landslide in ‘07 but Republican Sam Katz got about 190,000 votes in 2003. I think McCain is going to do much better in the city (which is about half white) than Bush.
OMG, any interals on this one?
Unless he is offered something like Sec of Labor.
Sarah needs to bring union member Todd with her to campaign to the blue collars
It’s going to be tough with the famous voter fraud the Democrats routinely pull in Philadelphia.
This is another on-line survey. We shuldn’t be wasting our time with this; there’s enough good news in real polls.
