I understand that when forecasts don’t pan out and officials order evacuations, when in hindsight, they weren’t necessary, people get complacent. But when you are told to evacuate or face almost certain death…..how could you possibly be surprised that “It’s bad, real bad”.?

Anyone with a bit of sense who saw this thing when it hit Cuba and KNEW it was headed west/northwest would have evacuated.
