with their need for money and quiet spaces.

Missouri City mayor “commandeers” gas station

Owen said the Chevron Service Station at Highway 6 and FM 1092 had been boarded up prior to Hurricane Ike’s arrival and was still unopened. When asked if he had really “commandeered” the station, Owen responded, “I did. I basically told the owner they could open that station up or I would do it for them.”
