I fully expect the death toll to rise over the next several days. However, an anonymous post telling us about photos--without a single photo--of piles of 4000 dead bodies, and calling for outcry has a smell of hoax to me.

I was out for a few hours earlier. Haven't seen confirmation that they completed the grid search. Until they do, everything is speculation.

Has anyone heard if the grid search has been completed?

I would like to know what happened to the people living in Oak Island. I spent a lot of time there and knew the type of people living there. Very few would have left.

I heard a reporter on ABC13 state that SAR teams had completed 90% of one of their grid searches, but can’t remember if they said Galveston Island or if they specifically mentioned the west end. I want to say it was the west end of the island he was talking about, but I can’t be sure. He sounded pretty grim when he reported this and was asked by the anchor if there were any signs of life. He answered her saying they had only located two people in a house. He did not elaborate further, but only repeated words such as devestation, total destruction, etc.
