Actually, there was a huge amount of bodies after Katrina in Mississippi...the search teams were pulling bodies out of trees and the bodies were every where. There were lots of refrigerated trucks that the bodies were put in. The reporters knew about it...but were told not to report it.

After Andrew & Charlie the same thing...we were never told the true number of the bodies found. This has become sop.

I heard a report last year that we are not getting the true fatality statistics on Iraq and Afghanistan either. Apparently you are only a war casualty if you die in country. It you get shipped to Germany and die in a hospital a few days later, it doesn’t count. All those names on the Vietnam wall, are they only the ones who died in country? Does anyone know?

In Katrina, Louisiana lost about 1,500 people. I’m hoping that the tally in Texas comes nowhere near that number.
