I also suspect that the cells are out in his area along with his DSL line. (or cable, but IIRC, he uses DSL) Yeah...the majority of our Houston FReepers, while accounted for, can't get on the internet.
I miss them.
Still waiting to hear about Xenalyte. It occurs to me that I think I have her number in my US cell phone. I can charge that up so I can get it and then try calling her from my local cell phone.

I just made it to sw Houston where there's electricity. My neighborhood, Garden Oaks, looks like a war zone. It's an old neighborhood with lots of HUGE trees and many have fallen into houses and streets. We were very fortunate, lots of tree branches fallen but no trees down.
I saw Disaster Recovery trucks staging at Northwest Mall.
