Pubs +5% on Generic Congressional Ballot with LIKELY voters!
Gallop ^

The positive impact of the GOP convention on polling indicators of Republican strength is further seen in the operation of Gallup's "likely voter" model in this survey. Republicans, who are now much more enthused about the 2008 election than they were prior to the convention, show heightened interest in voting, and thus outscore Democrats in apparent likelihood to vote in November. As a result, Republican candidates now lead Democratic candidates among likely voters by 5 percentage points, 50% to 45%.

Someone on here posted that Obama needs to stay on left because he passed on federal funding and needs to raise money. I think we are starting to see how bad of decision of that was for the Democrats not only is Obama struggling to raise the money, him not be able to lie and come to the center is really hurting Democrats in conservative districts.

My Senator Jim Inhofe is running for reelection.
He is using Obama’s picture with his opponents in a split screen.
When you can do that... That’s GOLD.

“THIS IS GREAT NEWS!”
Is this a Republican forum, or a conservative one? If the former, it is indeed good news. If the latter.....well....recent experience has shown that the republicans steal a bit less than democrats, but just a bit.
Oh yeah, they steal it to give it to the people, usually in their districts, usually to get re-elected.
So, if you are a conservative, it’s not great news, just not as terrible as it might be.

Ohhh wow I hadn’t even thought of that!

WSJ article today showed stock market growth with
Rep pres & Dem Congress 10% (or less)
Dem pres & Rep Congress 13%
Rep pres & Rep Congress 17%
it also refuted the line that “the economy does better when democrats are in charge”.
Put Kennedy (supply sider) in the Rep column, Nixon (regulator) and G HW Bush (tax raiser) in the Dem column, and the data reverse substantially. Heck, even remove the single data point of Nixon and the trend that they claim for Dems collapses. Not much of a study if the removal of a single datapoint destroys your conclusion.
